“Relaxing and warm environment with friendly staff. We had the English Breakfast and quiche …both were declared delicious and substantial. Coffee was wonderfully hot served in mugs big enough to warm our hands. The cabinet food was very tempting but we were too full!”

“I spend a lot of time in the social club and have had a few events and been to events hosted by the club. The staff have always been welcoming and supportive throughout.They also bring a lot back into the community with the charity events. They do a learning disability day once’s a month and I think it’s amazing how they give back to the community for so many walks of life. Will always be my go to.”

“This is a good sized co-op for the village. I can honestly find most things I need here. It can get a little chaotic when they're restocking but staff will always stop what they're doing and help if you can't find something. The car park can get busy but can't grumble as the fact that they have parking is a definite bonus!”

“We had my son’s 7th birthday party yesterday, a Nerf gun party with Rob and Jay and it was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, everything ran so smoothly and the kids had the best time ever. Rob and Jay were fantastic with the children fun, patient, full of energy, and made sure every single child got involved. The games were exciting, well organized, and kept the kids completely entertained from beginning to end (which is no small task with a group of 7-year-olds!). The setup was brilliant, the equipment was top quality, and the whole experience far exceeded our expectations. My son hasn’t stopped talking about it and said it was the best birthday ever. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a party that’s action-packed, stress free, and unforgettable. Thank you, Rob and Jay, for making it such a special day!”

“Lovely little restaurant. We had the set menu at lunch. Loved each of the three courses. They served a warm small loaf of malted bread with butter and a dish of fat olives at the beginning - nice touch to whet our appetites. We had the charred bream to start, and mains were the pork belly and the ox cheek. Desserts were warm carrot cake with cream cheese sorbet and dark chocolate bavarois with rhubarb. Everything was delicious. We will definitely return.”

“An excellent farm shop! Wide range of produce at good prices especially for a farm shop which I felt made it useable by a wider audience. The florist onsite, Simon, is such a fabulous guy. The ship smelt amazing and is so cute with little bits to buy, plants and of course cut stem flowers. Will be back 100%”

“Fantastic place, plenty of free parking. A nice airy entrance way with counter to order at and very friendly staff. Plenty of good sized tables and booth areas so it does not feel cramped in any way at all. There is a good selection of options on the menu and reasonably priced for the portion size. We had a small breakfast and pancakes with bacon with a coffee and a hot chocolate. The drinks came out quickly and the food was brought out about 5 mins later, delicious and hot. The cafe is also dog friendly. Overall a great cafe, great food and great staff.”

“Wow, 3 of us called in for an impromptu Sunday roast and so glad we did. A lovely friendly village pub with great ales and serving a fabulous lunch from the carvery. I've never had better roast beef anywhere, sirloin from the local butcher and cooked to perfection along with a great range of veg. I will be back. Thank you!”

“Brilliant Food! One of the best meals of my life! We got the scallops from the a la carte menu and combined that with the set menu and were throughly happy with service (Sofia, our server was excellent!) and quality of food as well as the generous serving size. The smoked duck was just delicious! The gazpacho too was a delight- the Skate had been deboned so no messing around with bones! I ordered the Fillet of Hake and was blown away by the sauces. The food ate well separately as well as with different combinations. My brother got the Korean BBQ and the puffed corn on this was a fabulous surprise! The roasted scallops had an amazing peach-chilli zing. And save space for desserts! So delicious and super tasty. The dishes are delightful, imaginative and delicious. Definitely recommend making a booking to eat here.”

“First time here and pleasently surprised. Really good food and very filling. We had the chicken sandwiches and the crab quiche. We didn't have to wait at all, and the staff were very polite and attentive. There are three seating areas and two inside and one outside. The one at the far back has a heater and is very nice and warm. The chairs have cushions on them n blankets, so if you're a bit chilling, you can get warm and feel cosy. These are nice touches, and I feel this does make it nicer than other places. They are not only making it look nicer but also thinking about customers who may feel the cold quicker than others like myself. We will definitely be going again.”

“Had lunch on Tuesday. We had the mint lamb shank and steak and ale pie. Both were superb, the steak pie was not only huge but the meat was so tender and very tasty. The young lady who served us was also excellent and very helpful as my wife has a nut allergy. Very good experience all round.”

We were a large party, but that was no problem at all – everything was handled smoothly and with a smile. What really stood out was how Sam went above and beyond for my child, who has an eating disorder. Instead of dismissing it as fussiness, Sam truly understood and accommodated their needs with care and empathy. That made the whole experience so much more comfortable and enjoyable for us.
