“Awesome... my mate told me about this place, so whilst in my campervan we dropped in for a amazing afternoon cheeseburger, faultless the burger was so thick, great skin on fries, perfection to the point that we returned the next morning for the belly Busting breakfast. Lin & the staff are lovely to, great food, great service and surprisingly in today's climate excellent value for money. Lin told me they just celebrated one year of business, I'm sure there going to be around, thankfully for a long time .”

“I love this shop! Hannah is very helpful and knowledgable. We regularly ask advice from Hannah and always buy Riley's kibble and treats from her. For such a small shop it has an incredible range of food, treats, toys and accessories for dogs, cats, birds and other pets. It's fab!”

The food is some of the best vegetarian cuisine I’ve ever had, every dish packed with flavour, beautifully presented, and served with genuine warmth. “Had a lovely experience at Tookta! The food was absolutely delicious – very authentic Thai flavours and clearly made with care. The service was just as wonderful. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming, making it feel like a warm, local gem rather than just a restaurant. “I came for the bottomless brunch. Harri the bartender was great and made sure we always had cocktails ready to drink, there was a lovely lady called Lisa serving us. Honestly service here has always been great. I prefer the general menu to the bottomless brunch menu but that doesn’t take away from the experience at all!”

“Very tasty and great atmosphere. Bottomless soft drinks and free popcorn while waiting for our order. We stayed in the basement, but they have tables upstairs and outside as well. Over all very good place, large menu for vegans as well!”

“Really nice little cafe. Bright and colourful and the girl serving from South Africa was really friendly! We only ordered drinks and some chips to eat outside (17.08.24 about 15:25) and we were served quickly. Chips were brought out to the table for us outside so we didn’t need to wait for them. Will definitely go back - the burgers that the chef was cooking looked DELICIOUS and so did the chicken wings that we saw them taking out!”

“Coffee At 33 – Small shop, big heart (and seriously good coffee!) The owner is incredibly sweet and friendly — you feel welcome the second you walk in. . I ordered an espresso, a cortado, and a hand drip, and every single cup was perfect. Balanced, smooth, and full of flavor — no bitterness at all, just pure coffee joy. Their pastries and baked goods look so tempting too… I wanted to try them all! If you’re in Brighton, you’ve got to check this place out. Just a heads up: it can be a little slow because they’ve got so many loyal regulars — but trust me, it’s 100% worth the wait.”

“Wonderful staff and the usual patronage / regulars are all incredibly welcoming and full of humor. Not one macro brewery to be found. All local-ish microbrews from really incredible breweries. When I return to England, even if I'm staying far from Kemptown I'm definitely popping by Hand In Hand again. Amazing!!!”

“A hidden gem of Brighton. Very first time here and didn't disappoint for choosing this place. Love craft beer and they are the best one for serving craft. Such nice selection of beers from IPA, stout, Sour, neipa etc. Good choice for cask and keg. I like the atmosphere. Not very big place but have plenty of seats. Bar guy was cool. There were board games and such nice green house plants.”

“We're in Brighton for our summer holiday and since we're zero-waste-fans from Cologne, I was keen to visit the "Store next door". The journey by bus uphill from the city centre was more than worth it!!! My daughter had lots of fun to watch the peanut butter machine do its magic and to go to the basement and look around. I also liked that they sell local and handmade products like the Brighton socks which I bought as a useful souvenir:) I can also highly recommend the whole neighborhood. We meant to stop real quick at the "Store", but there were so many different tiny shops that attracted our attention, we probably spent more than two hours in the Fiveways area :)”

“Great shop for all things sustainable. Plenty of vegan products as well as well sourced meat. Do bring along your own containers to stock up on the goodies, but if you forget there's plenty of containers to purchase in store. Tasty range of craft beers and wine too!”

“Great variety of choice. Very friendly staff. One little issue: I have witnessed a lot of shoplifting, so I would advise you to place the most expensive products (like all the cosmetics at the back of the shop) to the front of the shop as those are the ones I have seen being stolen. Once I saw a smartly dressed tall woman literally putting expensive cosmetic products into her pocket. It was shocking to see.”

“Delicious Steak, Great Service! We had a fantastic dinner at this steakhouse. The steak was cooked perfectly. Juicy, tender, and full of flavour. The sides were also spot on, especially the grilled vegetables and chunky fries. Everything was fresh and well-seasoned. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was cosy, and the small touches (like the chimichurri sauce and candlelight) made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you're looking for quality steak and a relaxed dining vibe!”
