“Very lovely organic café and shop with coffee/tea/juice, homemade pastries and a well chosen selection of organic and sugarfree products. Relaxed place, high quality food and the friendliest owner. Lovvve it!!!”
“Really lovely little cafe with staff who are not only super pleasant and attentive but also efficient.. Our breakfasts were delicious. The place began to fill up and was nicely humming with people chatting but not actually noisy. Thoroughly recommended.”
“First time here, everything was so yummy! The service by Michael and Ella was amazing and made my partner and I feel instantly welcome! Highly recommend - slightly cheaper prices when you order from the table too! :)”
“This is an adorable little cafe that uses super fresh ingredients. The food was great, and the coffee was just as good. The owner is so kind, lovely, and welcoming — I had a really wonderful time here. Highly recommend if you're in the area!”
“Really nice little cafe. Bright and colourful and the girl serving from South Africa was really friendly! We only ordered drinks and some chips to eat outside (17.08.24 about 15:25) and we were served quickly. Chips were brought out to the table for us outside so we didn’t need to wait for them. Will definitely go back - the burgers that the chef was cooking looked DELICIOUS and so did the chicken wings that we saw them taking out!”
“Sometimes you walk in to a restaurant and you think... this is a restaurant. Other times you walk in and feel like you are in someone's home being served their best food. This is most definitely one of the best Italians, if not homely places I've visited in a long time From the moment you walk in, you are made to feel at home. The food is amazing and I would recommend this place. They know how to do customer service and beyond. A must visit if you are in the area and a hidden gem”
“quite an unassuming little place nestled in the business of george street, there was nobody in there as i was passing at lunch time however had previously read online that they do good food. i had the chicken club burger and oh my goodness, i don't say this lightly, but that was the BEST burger i have ever had! delicious home made chips as well. it was a perfect little spot in the sunshine people watching, eating gorgeous food. if you're at that end of town definitely give it a try! the chef & girl at the till were lovely too, very attentive.”
“So glad I stopped here for lunch. Food is top quality home made and not expensive as you get big portions. Quiche was delicious and salads were really nice and tasty. Great value for money. I sat outside with a great view of sea. Very peaceful. Looking forward to my next visit.”
“A really lovely spot. Really cozy atmosphere and lots of seating. My mum and I came here for a coffee/light bite and were very pleasantly surprised with how much choice there was. She had a long black (which was the perfect size) and the spinach & feta borek, which she said was “the nicest thing I’ve ever eaten”. I had an almond bakewell slice and an oat-based matcha latte (which was the best I’ve had to date)! The service was great — when we arrived they were fairly busy with breakfasts (it’s obviously well loved by the locals) so they communicated this to us, and we were also informed when our food was up next. 10/10 would eat here again.”
“Coffee At 33 – Small shop, big heart (and seriously good coffee!) The owner is incredibly sweet and friendly — you feel welcome the second you walk in. . I ordered an espresso, a cortado, and a hand drip, and every single cup was perfect. Balanced, smooth, and full of flavor — no bitterness at all, just pure coffee joy. Their pastries and baked goods look so tempting too… I wanted to try them all! If you’re in Brighton, you’ve got to check this place out. Just a heads up: it can be a little slow because they’ve got so many loyal regulars — but trust me, it’s 100% worth the wait.”
“Great coffee, opens early, friendly people, and welcoming!! The owner and guy from Essex are the best barristas in Brighton! 10/10!”
“Delicious brunch from the Monday pop up menu! Lovely creative vegan food from guest chef Pratie Twister. Delicious coffee as well, highly recommend the Black Sesame cream coffee was very delicious”
“Had the most amazing time with my niece and nephew today, we were served by Sofia (I think her name was!) she was so lovely and so good with the little ones, she gave them glow sticks which they loved and explained what we needed to do! 10/10 experience xx”
“For me this is the definition of a hidden gem, a nice, quiet, unassuming cafe with a very homely feeling. Every time we visit, it feels like we're back in Japan. Everything is homemade, tasty but also healthy. We always have something savoury and sweet because we don't want to miss out and the matcha late is also great.”
“Such a lovely cafe, beautiful setting with nice walks around. Very accommodating and lovely friendly staff.”
“Visited here while in the area. Friendly staff, freshly cooked, great value for money, clean premises. I had the vegetarian breakfast, lovely sausages and perfectly cooked fried eggs. Coffee was fab, which came with the breakfast at no extra cost!”
“My partner and I stumbled on the cafe on our walk. We visited on a sunny day and loved the cafe! Its a very cute caravan kitchen with lovely staff. We both had green soup with bread. Both of these were delicious and we had to ask for more bread! All the food was of very high quality and we spent an amazing afternoon there!”
“Absolutely wonderful, came today with friends although was very busy, staff were still very welcoming and lovely and polite, and still got our meals and drinks at a reasonable time! Even when other customers just left a table, the staff cleaned it up asap for us even tho they were busy! Defo recommend”
“Love coffee and fantastic English breakfasts and helpfully staff. A must try.”
“We chose Oeuf for brunch based on its great reputation, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The cafe has a beautiful, inviting atmosphere and the decorations are a nice touch. The staff were all so welcoming and attentive, and the brunch itself was absolutely delicious. The green smoothie was a definite highlight. If you want a more relaxed experience, I'd suggest booking your visit for after 1:30 PM to avoid the busiest rush.”
“Family business, locally sourced food. Classic place, with a little garden at the back, strong coffee and flavourful. Several all day breakfast options! Big portions (hash dishes could be shared if you are not so hungry!) It’s not in a busy area but the place can get really busy with locals, so that tells you all!”
“Have been here a few times, always lovely service! Really kind staff and good vibes staff. Often quite busy on the weekend, but normally okay at finding a table on a weekday, there’s also additional seating downstairs which I’ve never used. Food is always really good, would recommend the hot chocolate! Really good private booth if you wanted to have a breakfast meeting too or catch up with friends. Dog friendly and staff seemed to enjoy having her in!”
“A unique place with a great food and drink menu and a lovely vibe! I only stopped in for a quick bite to eat for breakfast, and I had a blast. I had the healthy brunch bowl, where everything was well cooked and seasoned, and as a non-vegan, still thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn’t have said anything was missing. The chunky avocado was a great touch too, way better than the mushy stuff. To drink I had the health elixir - or in normal terms, a honey, lemon, tumeric and ginger tea. Fresh and vibrant, it was perfectly sweet and spicy, and very delicious indeed. The vibes in the place are spot on, being friendly and welcoming like the staff, and the decor is just fabulous with all the random vintage bits and bobs around the place. They offer cakes too, but it’s the large food selection, creative and tasty, and extensive drinks options, especially teas, which makes this place stand out!”
“Fantastically warm and cozy place. Really friendly and cheerful staff. Awesome cakes and coffee. One of my favourite places to while away a little time.”
“Quickly becoming my favourite place to eat in Brighton. The food is incredible, not a bad dish on the menu. It’s not too expensive and the staff are lovely. It’s dog friendly, beautifully decorated and a lovely atmosphere. Coffee on point too. Just trust me and go here, you won’t be disappointed.”
“Perfect vegetarian breakfast - best I've had in ages!”
“Great spot right on the sea front with delicious coffee and beautiful takeaway coffee cups (it's the small things sometimes!). Highly recommend!”
“Lovely veggie/vegan diner with amazing and very fresh food, always a pleasure to eat here and great to people watch out the front too! Very reasonably priced and maybe the best value for money vegan food in the Laines!”
“What a find! Pretty cafe, great atmosphere, coffee was delicious as was my hot chocolate! I had a tuna jacket which was divine and the side salad was a dish in itself, fresh and honestly one of nicest salads I’ve had. My partner had waffles which were delicious, great portions, well presented. Overall 10/10 Strong recommend Will be back very soon!”
“This is the most accurate to a greasy spoon cafe I have been in. Friendly staff, simple but delicious fry-ups, locals popping in and being called by their first names. Massively reasonably priced as well!!”
