We're in Brighton for our summer holiday and since we're zero-waste-fans from Cologne, I was keen to visit the "Store next door". The journey by bus uphill from the city centre was more than worth it!!! My daughter had lots of fun to watch the peanut butter machine do its magic and to go to the basement and look around. I also liked that they sell local and handmade products like the Brighton socks which I bought as a useful souvenir:) I can also highly recommend the whole neighborhood. We meant to stop real quick at the "Store", but there were so many different tiny shops that attracted our attention, we probably spent more than two hours in the Fiveways area :)

I love this shop. They have all manner of refills available (I've been reusing some of my plastic bottles for years) but also lots of other staple foods and some gorgeous gifts, toiletries and other everyday things. It's one of those places that's just a joy to spend time in. But above all, the eco credentials are exceptional so you know that every penny you spend here is doing something for a better world ♥️

I have lived in Fiveways for years and always love going to the Store to do my refills and buy lovely, local items. My favourite things I’ve bought from here are the lavender eye pillows that I’ve had to come back again and buy several times for friends and family! Always such a lovely experience and everyone working there is super helpful and friendly too.

A top-quality refill store. Store is my go to for a lot of refills such as washing liquid, shampoo, cooking oils and dried foods. It is the only refill store that I know of in Brighton which sells refillable cooking oils and loose eggs which are from an ethically run farm in Forest Row so I'll never buy questionable eggs from supermarkets again. I also delight in the range of homemade wares that are perfect as gifts for yourself or others. So so glad we have a Store near us!

A fabulous refill store! Perfect for most of the weekly shopping, and all without the unnecessary or excessive packaging that you’ll find in most stores. It’s handy to be able to take your empty containers and refill them with great quality, ethically sourced products from shampoo and laundry detergent through to soy sauce and olive oil. Check out the peanut butter machine - kids (and most adults!) love watching their peanut butter being created on demand. Their coffee beans are always really fresh and a great price - so much better than buying at the supermarket! They also have a great range of handmade cards and affordable gifts including beautifully scented candles and mugs.

Soooo many nice things to choose from, and such a lovely welcome from the friendly staff. A visit to store is a gorgeous shopping experience where I can get everything I need and someone has already filtered the products to meet ethical standards. Perfection!!

Really great refillable shop, full of everything I needed and everything I didn't know I needed (almond butter freshly ground)! Organic produce, and so much able to refill, liquids and everything else - all listed on the website too so you can check before you go there. Also have jars/bags/bottles to use should you get there and not have any. Lovely staff too who are really helpful. Thank you! Only downside is there's not much parking nearby but that's nothing to do with store!

Store is a fantastic zero waste shop that really caters for the local community. I always find what I need and can use my own containers. The staff are always helpful and friendly and have been absolutely brilliant during the pandemic.

What a great ethical store, and it's being extended! I'm fead up with plastic razors, toothbrushes and soaps that contain palm oil. The Store dose it all aiming for plastic and packaging free at a fare price. All sorts for the home and kitchen and great food and drinks to try out. Bring your own containers and just weigh it pay n go. I went for an old stainless steel razor and I haven't nicked myself badly yet it's a decent clean shave with some practice. Top up detergents and cleaning fluids even for dishwashers. This is a great model to all food stores. So many nice little things for the home some great alternative Christmas gifts.
