“We're in Brighton for our summer holiday and since we're zero-waste-fans from Cologne, I was keen to visit the "Store next door". The journey by bus uphill from the city centre was more than worth it!!! My daughter had lots of fun to watch the peanut butter machine do its magic and to go to the basement and look around. I also liked that they sell local and handmade products like the Brighton socks which I bought as a useful souvenir:) I can also highly recommend the whole neighborhood. We meant to stop real quick at the "Store", but there were so many different tiny shops that attracted our attention, we probably spent more than two hours in the Fiveways area :)”
“Great variety of choice. Very friendly staff. One little issue: I have witnessed a lot of shoplifting, so I would advise you to place the most expensive products (like all the cosmetics at the back of the shop) to the front of the shop as those are the ones I have seen being stolen. Once I saw a smartly dressed tall woman literally putting expensive cosmetic products into her pocket. It was shocking to see.”
“Great shop for all things sustainable. Plenty of vegan products as well as well sourced meat. Do bring along your own containers to stock up on the goodies, but if you forget there's plenty of containers to purchase in store. Tasty range of craft beers and wine too!”
“I love Hisbe! The choice of refill produce is great, good availability and the prices for refill don’t seem to have gone up for years. ditch the plastic and come here - they’ve also got the most generous loyalty scheme around and you get stamps every time you bring your own refill jars. Fantastic shop that we depend on.”
“I like this shop a lot, a good selection of Polish and Eastern European products. I would recommend sausages and pierogi (dumplings), as they are different from the local ones. Also, the selection of cakes is delicious with cheese cake as my favourite one. Powidła - plum butter - that is my favourite kind of jam.”
“Thank the maker for Infinity whole foods!! One of the best. The staff are fantastic and the produce and bakery are wonderful. The vegan sausage roll is a Brighton staple!”
“Lovely little shop, really friendly and helpful staff. Easy to park and pick up forgotten or emergency necessities in a hurry rather than go into town. Can seem pricey but carries co-op offers and the markdowns are excellent.”
“Great choice of quality food , staff are always helpful. A relaxed environment to do your shopping.”
“Goodness organic is a standout gem among Brighton’s grocery options, offering a vibrant and diverse selection of products from around the world. The store’s shelves are stocked with high-quality goods year-round, from exotic spices to specialty ingredients, catering to a wide range of culinary needs. While prices are noticeably higher than larger supermarkets, the exceptional quality of the products justifies the cost, making it a worthwhile investment for discerning shoppers. One of the store’s highlights is its welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere. The in-house bakery and café area provide a delightful spot to enjoy freshly baked goods and a cup of their remarkable Turkish coffee—a must-try for visitors. The emphasis on natural storage for fresh fruits and vegetables is a refreshing touch, ensuring produce retains its flavor and freshness without the artificial chill of industrial freezers. The store’s environment could benefit from minor improvements, such as better organization or aesthetic updates, to match the quality of its offerings. However, this does little to detract from the overall experience. Goodness organic delivers a great shopping experience, blending quality, variety, and community charm. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a more personalized grocery outing in Brighton.”
“Great shop in the middle of brighton and hove. Deceptively large and has everything one could want. The staff in here are friendly and knowledgeable and there are more tills here than you can poke a stick at. The self service ones at least, but noone really wants manned tills anyway, too much conversation for my liking. Anyway I digress, great shop and good selection of flowers also”
“the young man at the check out was very friendly, asking if I found everything I was looking for.”
“Great for parking and picking up a few essentials always clean and tidy and the staff very friendly”
“Co op staff who’s working in post office call kireen she’s doing excellent job. Kind person mean time professional customer service. Excellent. I went there to pay my car tax and logbook transfer she’s done everything perfectly.”
“I think co-op is a good shop to get food in the staff is amazing and friendly and kind and happy and caring”
“Always pleasant to shop here. A little expensive and some ranges are limited, but, all in all a good shop. Pleasant and helpful staff.”
“Staff are always friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked with Co-op products and so I go all the way to Shoreham by-Sea to get my main shop because where I live in Brighton the stores don't stock everything on my shopping list. Also the stock of many items in the Co-op shops in Brighton are frequently low or missing, especially staples like fresh bakery, fruit and veg and goats milk (I'm intolerant of cows milk). Additionally, I have to buy a parking voucher from the newsagent in Blatchington Road, Hove to park near the Hove Co-op (the closest store to my home with better stock) as the Co-op doesn't sell them; even though they have a paypoint facility at their customer service desk. The Ham Road store in Shoreham by-Sea has a free car park so the extra petrol I use to get there is cheaper than pay and display charges in Brighton and Hove.”
“Well sto keep shop slightly pricer”
“Cheap, meal deal just 50p more than a Tesco meal deal, but it is fair as they have stuff usual Tesco Express doesn't have, personally my meal deal at Co-op is Ham and mustard sandwich with walkers cheese and onion, and to drink Lipton ice peach tea. Love it!”
“Keeping true to the brand well laid out we everything wanted and if was all easy to find do what’s not to like”
“My housemates and I love Blake’s, and go almost daily. Super lovely staff, quick service, nice fresh bread and produce options. We drink about a flat of iced coffees and week- and they always keep it replenished for us!”
“Today I dropped my car keys down a drain just outside this Co-op so I asked a member of staff and Kerry was so helpful, giving me a stick and string so that I could fish it out. Saved my day. Thanks a lot, 5 stars. Wishing you all the best”
“Sells cider and other top real drinks. A truly great range of cider. Nice staff. Also sells non alcoholic. Great range of products. A must for locals and visitors alike.”
“Love this shop, it has helped me out many many times”
“Friendly staff and good prices always our local shop :)”
“Absolutely the nicest and most helpful people I’ve come across. Very friendly, courteous and professional. I often drop off parcels and have always had a positive experience.”
“100 percent ! I live here, been here 25 years.”
“Nice local store open to 10 pm good selection to choose from ‼️ 5 Star Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“I’ve been visiting this little shop for about two years now, and apart from the fact that it’s always there when you need it, I’d like to highlight the wonderful people who work there – Kieran, Megan, and another lovely lady whose name I, unfortunately, don’t remember. No matter what the question or situation is, the team is always ready to help, and that means so much! I’m truly grateful for their kindness and great service.”
“I went to find alternative sugars, and the lady serving was very friendly and helpful. It's a small shop but offers a lot of natural/echo friendly products, including food products and toiletries.”
