   If you’re looking for ‘service with a smile’ you’re unlikely to find it here. Apart from a few exceptions staff seem consistently miserable and are sometimes plain rude. Unfortunate that this is nearest supermarket which I now try to avoid, it’s a depressing experience. If there are reasons for low staff morale - in addition to the drab surroundings they work in - these should be addressed.

   Staff are always friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked with Co-op products and so I go all the way to Shoreham by-Sea to get my main shop because where I live in Brighton the stores don't stock everything on my shopping list. Also the stock of many items in the Co-op shops in Brighton are frequently low or missing, especially staples like fresh bakery, fruit and veg and goats milk (I'm intolerant of cows milk). Additionally, I have to buy a parking voucher from the newsagent in Blatchington Road, Hove to park near the Hove Co-op (the closest store to my home with better stock) as the Co-op doesn't sell them; even though they have a paypoint facility at their customer service desk. The Ham Road store in Shoreham by-Sea has a free car park so the extra petrol I use to get there is cheaper than pay and display charges in Brighton and Hove.

   If you are going to wait until 10am to open on Sundays, suggest you turn your delivery machine off. Costing us money to come collect because your staff are too lazy to turn a poxy machine off. And if you expect us to collect from somewhere else, then use your brains and make that clear.000

   The last few times I've been in this co-op, there has literally not been a single member of staff either on the checkouts or the self-service tills. There's a rude woman behind the newspaper/tobacco counter who thinks it's ok to shout "someone's coming" at customers if you dare to comment after waiting an age for service. This place must be a shoplifters paradise as it's only altruistic and honest customers who can be bothered to hang around to pay for their shopping. Come on Co-op you're better than this!

   Incredibly rude staff, accused me of shoplifting and maybe me strip clothes in the middle of the store! Then when they found nothing just walked off without apologising!

   Huge thankyou to the kiosk staff and manager at shoreham by sea branch. After having a paypoint voucher issue and trying 8 other stores they resolved my problem so quickly. Even though the shop was busy with Saturday customers they went over and above to help me and resolve the issue. So pleased thankyou x

   Have shopped here for many years and recently with my 93 year old Mum who can no longer get out unaided. The staff are so helpful and always have a quick chat with her which always cheers her up. We shop in bulk fortnightly and she has her items delivered. They are always on time and always take her many bags of shopping indoors for her. I have nothing but praise for this store and it's staff.

   My local Coop. Not cheapest shop for sure, I get essentials and offers mainly. Staff are freindly and very rarely have more than 2-3 people at checkout. Not forced into self service which I detest.

   Great place to buy food. Love the staff, product range is good enough and usually you do not need to queue. Car park ticket system is free but a pain. Over all a decent local super market

   Pleasant staff, good deals, easy to find products, excellent range, good value flowers, great selection of donated books to raise donations to charity. I really enjoy browsing them and adding to their bookshelf.
