“Had to make several visits with Minnie in last three weeks to have various tests and she has been diagnosed with Diabetes, needing insulin twice a day. I was quite taken a back by the substantial costs l have had to pay for everything so far, for the consultations, the treatment, tests and medical equipment l had to purchase. I was expecting to pay, but not as much as I have done, and this is still ongoing. Having said that, I could not fault the excellent service and attention Minnie has received so far. 30th July 2025 - Had to visit the vet again today as Minnie is not eating well and still drinking a lot. I had concerns, because I wasn't sure of the amount of insulin dosage l should give her. I phoned them yesterday afternoon and was told that I would receive a phone call that evening, as the vet was at another practice .I did receive the call, and they suggested they would make appointment for today, as vet wanted to see her. I was very grateful for the quick response. Vet did some more tests today, and her glucose levels were much to high. They want her to be monitored, and suggested she spends a whole day with them under supervision, so she goes in on Tuesday next week. I cannot fault the attention they have been giving her, and I can see that they care about the animals and do all they can to help them live the rest of their lives in comfort and painless.”

“Excellent service visiting the area for a few days and my dog who had been sick unexpectedly. Nothing to do with her surroundings or people as visits regularly. Managed to fit me in same day appointment. My dogs tail wagging for the first time in 2 days. Here till Saturday and advised if tge injection and meds don't work within 72 hours bring her back as they will keep her medical records open. Fantastic vets thank you for putting my mind at ease so quickly and looking after Sky.”

She is amazing, so thorough and my dog comes out looking perfect, crystal clean and also has her teeth done with the ultrasonic brush. Thanks for always looking after my girl. I spoke to a very knowledgeable lady called Poppy and she was so informative and helpful along with a very friendly attitude . “Love this place! It’s huge which means loads of choice for natural healthy dog treats and a large selection of nature’s menu frozen food which is good. I have yet to notice a brand sold by one of the larger pet chains that isn’t here and it’s all well priced too. Staff are also really nice. Only complaint would be all the dog snacks by the till, I’m like a kid at the corner shop, by the time they’ve finished ringing through what I picked up in the shop, I’ve added several more items from their till side selection!”

“I recently placed on an online order with A Coombs pet centre. I'm so impressed. I'm usually a bit nervous ordering from smaller companies but the delivery, speed and customer service was amazing. My cat has a condition and the vet gave me some recommendations for food for my fussy cat. I like that they sell some of these more unusual monoprotein/hypoallergenic cat foods which seem hard to find online. They also sell the hills and royal canin wet foods in bulk and by the sachet/tin and it seems rare that companies sell by the sachet/tin and this is so helpful to try before you buy in bulk. I actually found them by asking chat GPT to find a retailer that sold all the foods I needed to purchase. I emailed them on a Saturday morning with a query and they got back to me within an hour, I placed an order about 9am and my order had arrived by 2pm the following day to Cornwall! That was with the free delivery. I'm really impressed and will be ordering from them again in the future.”

“We were struggling to find our pup’s vet prescribed food anywhere in the country and not only did A Coombs have it in stock (their website has a very good availability indicator), it was priced competitively and they shipped it out post haste in fantastic packaging (vastly superior to Pets At Home). The team were responsive by email as we were so unsure they would actually have it in stock but indeed they did. A wonderful team and far better than the big chain stores. We’ll be using them again for sure!”

“A great selection of items to buy, i was looking for treats for our 2 dogs as well as my daughters hamster and was able to find and buy what i needed. The store was bright and clean and the staff member on the checkout checked if i needed any assistance and then left me to browse. The staff member was friendly and welcoming when i came to pay for my items. I will definitely return.”

“Great shop, staff are really knowledgeable and always keen to help. Great variety of products. My dachshund loves the treats I get him from Pets Corner, especially the chicken steak strips, which seem to make his coat glossy and give the fur on the end of his willy a glossy full bodied appearance, for his size it’s quite a long willy so this does improve his look. Great local pet shop.”

I recently moved to the area and have been visiting this store for all of my dogs needs. Every time I visit the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They remember me and my pet, as well as his needs and use that knowledge to make well informed recommendations. I must say, it is a joy going in every time. They always seem genuinely happy to see me and my dog and it's very clear they have a deep love for animals. My dog doesn't like being touched on his behind and one of the staff even sat with me and my dog and showed me some training exercises to help combat that.
