“Had to make several visits with Minnie in last three weeks to have various tests and she has been diagnosed with Diabetes, needing insulin twice a day. I was quite taken a back by the substantial costs l have had to pay for everything so far, for the consultations, the treatment, tests and medical equipment l had to purchase. I was expecting to pay, but not as much as I have done, and this is still ongoing. Having said that, I could not fault the excellent service and attention Minnie has received so far. 30th July 2025 - Had to visit the vet again today as Minnie is not eating well and still drinking a lot. I had concerns, because I wasn't sure of the amount of insulin dosage l should give her. I phoned them yesterday afternoon and was told that I would receive a phone call that evening, as the vet was at another practice .I did receive the call, and they suggested they would make appointment for today, as vet wanted to see her. I was very grateful for the quick response. Vet did some more tests today, and her glucose levels were much to high. They want her to be monitored, and suggested she spends a whole day with them under supervision, so she goes in on Tuesday next week. I cannot fault the attention they have been giving her, and I can see that they care about the animals and do all they can to help them live the rest of their lives in comfort and painless.”
“Flossy has been really taken care of during a recent surgery to remove 3 lumps. They were kind, caring and considerate of our needs and listened to our concerns. Would highly recommend and I wanted to say thank you for everything!”
“Fantastic service, the staff are all so kind. The vets that have been to my thoroughbred are so patient and understanding of his nervy personality. Have always made me feel cared about, valued and involved. Best vet practice I’ve ever used.”
“Very pleased to have these vets in our village. You really get the impression that they are there for the animals first and foremost. They are also very competant and kind and whenever we have needed an appointment we have managed to get one of the day. They address any concerns the owner may have and we have found them to be very trustworthy, prioritising the most ethical and most cost effective option over monetory gain or unnecessary treatments or interventions. We like this veterinary group very much and are pleased that they are so local to us.”
“I have nothing but praise for this practice. Having spent over a thousand pounds at my previous practice trying to get to the bottom of my cats problem. I am delighted to have met Sarah who has been truly amazing and has given me a diagnosis for my cat which can be treated. Myself and my daughter were at our wits end but we now have our lives back.”
“Great staff and convenient surgery branches. Been taking my various pets here for over 20 years now. I recommend to my friends & family (who are now patients).”
“Crossways vets at Steyning are always extremely helpful and friendly. The vets are excellent and they always know the answers to my questions. They understand the bond you have with your animal and also how you worry when they're not well.”

“Our Sprocker was referred to Coast Vets by St Annes Road Vets for surgery for Ruptured ligament in his left hind leg. Thanks to Rob and his team Koko is now back to his usual lively self. I highly recommend the Coast Vets team”
“Tim and his staff are fantastic Our westie Charlie had chronic colitis and our local vet said they had done all they could for him. His weight was dropping dramatically and we feared we were losing him. Tim began treatment and within weeks he was putting on weight and back to his active life. Later he developed a skin disorder which again Tim was able to control. Sadly Charlie passed away with cancer but we know Tim gave him another happy year of life . Thanks again Tim you were brilliant Mark and Tanja”
“Really great and helpful vets. Would highly recommend.”
“We had to bring our dog in for an emergency appointment, very early on a Sunday morning. Sadly, we had to have Harry put to sleep later that afternoon, but care and pain relief was given to him so we could take him home for one last walk. The team (Hannah and the lady on reception) were so kind throughout what was undoubtedly the hardest day of our lives, saying goodbye to our 15 year old dog. The gave us the time and compassion we needed. Our usual vet seen him the previous morning and said nothing was wrong, we brought him here and he was scanned immediately and diagnosed. I know for sure I’ll come here if we ever get another pet. Thank you again for your care and empathy throughout, it made this difficult and traumatic time that much easier. I should also thank you for the card you sent to us later that week.”
“Always a great experience at Cootes vets. All staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The care provided to your pet is outstanding. 100% recommend to all pet owners.”
“I visited Heath vets to register my pet with them and move away from our previous veterinary practice. I was greeted by two friendly ladies at reception, Jodie dealt with my enquiry and was so friendly, kind and helpful. A lovely practice and lots of parking too. Friends highly recommended Heath Vets to me, I was very happy and impressed with the services they offer and the great customer service.”
“So happy I moved my dog to this veterinary practice. Such kind vets who really care and listen and they always do their best to keep the costs down.”
“First visit with Whimpy Westie for booster. Very clean premises, staff friendly and welcoming, efficient and helpful. Ted impressed with attention and treats and didn't notice injection going in. Fees clearly displayed on website where appointments can be booked.”
“2ND UPDATE As always, imogen is the only person that Paco will allow to do his toenails, he is abit of a fairy lol. Always receive 5 star service from crossways. Over the many years of owning pets I have used many different vets but not one comes close to Crossways over last 15 years. I would never use another vet surgery. They truly care about ensuring their clients and the owners are getting the right information specific to their pet. My last bull terrier, Angel, had several strokes before getting dementia, and the only reason Angel continued to have such a great quality of life was down to Imogen and the work she put in ensuring everything was right. When Angel was almost 15 years old, we had to make that decision to put her to sleep, and imogen was there to do it as she always was, and even wrote a little tribute to Angel on the blue-cross rememberance page. We received very personal handwritten cards from Imogen, Chris and Maxine which we keep next to Angels ashes. After losing Angel we rescued another bully Xena, and she too will always be treated by Crossways, and they always go above and beyond. We took Xena in just other day as she was poorly, so I asked the vet if they would also do blood tests just to make sure everything was OK for my own piece of mind. Turned out her red blood cells were very high, but she is now back to normal. So Crossways don't treat owners like we are over the top, they are so understanding. As Xena is getting more and more stressed out with having toe nail clips now, I requested that she is sedated for her next clip, because of the state she gets into and they immediately agreed this would be better for Xena. If you have questions, they are always happy to provide info. So, Crossways for me are the best around. UPDATE1 Sadly we lost princess xena in jan 2024, on 26th March 2023. Dan gave our 2 new 4 year old bullies a full checkup as we had just picked them up from their first home and provided us with lots of options for their skin allergies. Fantastic service as always. THANKYOU TO THE ENTIRE STAFF AT CROSSWAYS FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR OUR PETS.”
“We changed to this surgery recently having lost confidence in our previous vets. We've had two different appointments with our spaniel and we are so happy we made the switch. The vets are kind and informative - they give you all the facts and help you decide on what's best for your dog which is not something I've experienced before. Id really recommend”
“Amazing experience, really helped me out with my cat buster and understood my situation. The vet Henry was very professional and caring, all the staff were really nice. Glad i changed to this practice!”
“Great staff and lovely vets very happy thank you for looking after my cats .”
“We are very pleased with the care and attention our dog has had at St Anne’s Langney branch, the receptionists and vets are understanding and nothing is too much trouble, they are caring and considerate to our dog and ourselves.”
“Took my cat in today and was really impressed with the care. The staff were kind, gentle, and explained everything clearly. My cat was well looked after, and I felt very reassured. Highly recommend this vet!”
“I have always used Crossways for my dogs, over many years. They are professional, caring and informative. My most recent dog (rescue, badly abused previously) is very nervous, Imogen and Kirsten have been amazing with him, building up trust in the most caring and gentle way. Would whole heartedly recommend.”
“I’m registered at the Worthing branch and they look after my cat and dog. The staff there are so friendly and helpful and always manage to squeeze us in if we need an urgent appointment. They put the pets at ease and my dog really likes going there. Prices are very reasonable and you get so much value from the healthy pet club. Highly recommend!”
“Dalyan my rescue pulls me in the vets every time which is great I know it’s because he thinks he getting a treat but also Luca the Vet is lovely with him. Very thorough but gentle with it,”
“They booked me in the morning I called, and saw to Ruby straight away. Very professional, knowledgeable, and absolutely lovely & caring. Felt Ruby was is the best of hands.”
“Great vets. Car park. Easy access. Friendly staff and always great service from the vets.”
“Wonderful vets! I have been taking my fur people here for nearly 12 years. I highly recommend them for the care and comfort they give.”
“I seem to be visiting the vets way too often for my liking, I have 2 dogs and they seem to take turns not being well. As always the team are compassionate towards my pets, are thorough and are happy to spend the time diagnosing and explaining my options. Whilst not cheap (what vet is?) they try to minimise where possible the costs incurred. I love having a local vet a couple of minutes away with a 24 hr emergency also on my doorstep should the need arise (which it has more than once). For these reasons for me it is good value for peace of mind.”
“I’m always happy to take my dog Chico to see Deborah. She is very calm with him despite him being frightened. Good treatment all round.”
