On the first day of our holiday one of our dogs injured his foot, we phoned around the different vets and from first call with Fernhill, we felt instantly like we were in the best hands. “We have two young british shorthair cats who we adore. After some poor experiences at other local vets we decided to move them both and try Harrier Vets. Naturally we were nervous about taking them to a new vet. We took both cats at the same time for a vet check and were really pleased with the whole experience. Parking was easy and the receptionist was really helpful. The vet was fantastic (Unfortunately I can’t remember her name) and really approachable. At previous vets we have been made to feel like bad cat owners despite our very pampered cats, and previous vets have not seemed to have confidence around cats; this was not the case here. The vet was knowledgeable and really happy to answer any questions we had. She handled both cats (one who is exceptionally nervous) really well and made us feel very comfortable. We were given really helpful advice and their healthy cat plan was explained to us and seems good value for money. We can’t recommend them enough and are pleased to have finally found a vet that we feel comfortable with.”

“There is no way I could ever put into words how much Priory and Alexa and Sam in particular have done for me and my wonderful boy, Dobby. Dobby had so many health problems and had so many surgeries and as a result, was very reactive. When we moved from Oxford, I spent months trying to find the right vet and I thank my lucky stars every single day that I found Priory and Alexa. There was never any judgement whatsoever. Alexa always saw Dobby in the car park and they built the most wonderful bond. Dobby would always wag his tail and give her a "woo-woo" bark. Alexa was always totally honest with us and so kind. She always spent more time than she needed to with us and was always at the end of the phone. When Dobby's time sadly came on Easter Friday, Alexa was there for me and Dobby like she always was. And I couldn't have wished for more in Dobby's last moments. She held him with me and I will never forget the tail wag her gave her as she walked in the room. Alexa- thank you. We managed 3 wonderful years with Dobby and I know that wouldn't have been possible without your support and guidance. And I can never thank you enough for being with Dobby and I in those last moments. I will be forever grateful.”

“Exceptional Veterinary Practice. Although I have been a client for many years, my dog Jack seldom needs care. Recently however he was suffering a gland problem.. Jack is an imported rescue and the BVA recommend a safeguarding procedure (blood test) prior to any surgery in such cases due to possible Brucellosis infection. I was uncertain of the benefits, but was able to have a practical and sensible discussion with Giles, beforehand Jack had the procedure under sedation & Giles whipped out a loose back tooth too. Jack is not insured, but I was given an estimate of cost at our initial consultation which matched our final invoice. Thank you Giles, it seems to have done the trick and Jack has forgiven you (almost!)”

“I bought my dog Bambi in for her annual booster. She is a rescue dog and very wary of visiting the vets. The lady vet I saw was fantastic with her, and very reassuring. She also gave me some useful information about training and helping with Bambi's anxieties. I do see a different vet each time we visit, so there is a lack of continuity would be my only negative. But everyone I've seen has been lovely. And the Receptionist was also vey helpful. Thank you”
