The exceptionally talented Tom Spencer has saved my kittens life twice! He definitely wouldn’t be alive today without him. He has an amazing team of vets, nurses and receptionists and i would never go anywhere else.

Update: I received an email to say that because I left this review they've terminated my care; including my dogs post op aftercare from her tail docking 3 days ago! Proving my point they couldnt care less. They'd rather get rid of me as a customer than try to make up for their poor service. All you have to do is read the negative reviews which are from bigger ops and poor care and not just annual checkups. Don't be fooled by this place. --------- I have been going to Spring Corner for almost 13 years. I am usually pretty pleased with how the vets tend to my animals during things such as checkups, injuries etc. The vets are caring, listen, and give good and clear advice. You can usually get an appointment relatively quickly too. HOWEVER The owner couldn't care less about anything other than money, and its been going downhill for the last couple of years or more, as many of the other negative reviews suggest as well. In the last few years, since owning 2 dogs as well as my cats, I have noticed several occasions that simply comes across as purely for profit / Money grabbing. It's disappointing to be honest as it's now making me distrust going there. Example 1 - I was told my dog "may" have an elbow issue but every test up to then was inconclusive - they couldn't tell from the Β£500 X-rays they did, and wanted to do an MRI / CT Scan. They also wanted to do all sorts of invasive tests, including cameras in her elbow, just to DIAGNOSE a limp - I was told the cost would be Β£12k! I was then laughed at when I said my insurance would not cover that much - The reason for this being that the vet did not tell me simply walking through the door of a checkup appointment would mean its now classed as "an existing condition" to insurers, meaning I could never increase the premium amount going forward. I am confident the man who laughed at me was the owner - his name is Tom I believe. Extremely rude, interrupted constantly, and spoke only in Vet jargon, which luckily I had looked up some of this because of the "possible" diagnosis. I stressed numerous times that the limp started almost immediately after a big jump on a walk, but I was not being listened to and even had to ask the guy to stop talking so I could get a word in edgeways! He was kind enough to note this on the records for absolutely no reason other than to make me sound like a difficult person - oh, and there's no real treatment for what they *thought* it might be, so invasive diagnosis is pointless!!! And funnily enough, it disappeared and she's been fine since....! Example 2 - Took my dog in to have her tail docked due to Happy Tail. Everything went amazingly and I was really pleased with how it went, and the cost was reasonable for an op like that. I was told all aftercare was included by both the receptionist and the nurse who walked me through the aftercare for at home, and that she'd have to go back every 2 days for bandage changes. On returning for the first they tried to charge my partner Β£15 for a bandage change, the first of which had come off 2 hours after getting my dog home! We bandaged her ourselves and it lasted 2 days. 7 visits over 14 days would be an extra Β£105 which was NOT explained and contradicts "after care is included" in the price! I appreciate Vets are a business, and I will happily pay costs, but not when they are either unnecessary or I am told they are included!

My previous vet got bought out and the whole experience changed to a money grabbing exercise. I then moved over to Spring Corner Vets and got vets and nurses that cared about the animals and the whole experience was aligned to how I wanted my dog to be cared for. The prices are reasonable and they don’t guilt you into treatments that aren’t necessary. I would totally recommend.

I’ve been bringing my two cats, Leah and Tiger, to Spring Corner for years and overall my experiences have been excellent. The staff are always kind, helpful, and willing to answer every question, no matter how small. They treat pets with genuine care and make you feel reassured. They’ve helped me through emergencies too β€” when Leah injured herself, they saw her straight away and gave her the best possible care. For that I’m truly grateful. The only negative experience I’ve ever had was when Tiger was neutered. I can’t be sure what happened behind the scenes, but ever since, he has been a lot more nervous and easily frightened. It may just have been the experience itself, but it left me wondering if something unsettled him that day. That said, aside from this one situation, the service has always been first-class. I fully trust them with my pets and would still rate them 5 out of 5 for their care and dedication.

Excellent vets, my 1 & 1/2 year old Bull Terrier Boris had knee surgery with Tom, as could no longer stand on his back leg as his knee would displace all the time. Now he is back to normal and loving his walks again. Dave noticed he had a heart murmur so had a heart scan done and was a slight leaking heart valve. Boris is all good now. And a big thank you to Barbara who helped me and Boris so much by showing so much love for animals, I knew Boris would be looked after the whole time as it’s nerve racking leaving them. Also my last Bull Terrier Max was looked after so well for 13 years. I can’t thank you all enough xxx

My family has taken our pets here since I was a little girl and now my own dog and two cats are patients. Very helpful, kind vets who will give their advice freely and want the best for their patients - not just to line their pockets. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Can't recommend Spring Corner highly enough. Every single member of staff you meet go above and beyond, always so lovely and caring. The team are incredible and have helped up so much with our boy with his numerous health problems. The only place I'd ever take any of my animals.

First time using these guys after moving to the area from a few miles away. A quick Google for a local vet brought back results, with this place featuring great reviews. I called them on a Saturday lunchtime and was offered an appointment that afternoon - excellent! Premises is clean and staff are friendly & professional. Service was great. May well give full five star rating once Joey's health improves, will wait and see.
