Lovely friendly, quirky b&b. The rooms are former stables and the breakfast room is built into a little old granary. If you want a simple, clean and comfortable room with a wide ranging continental breakfast in a peacful location in easy walking distance of a busy village, this is a great choice and very reasonable rates.

We had a lovely stay. Knowing we were traveling with small children, the proprietor was kind enough to stock the fridge and pantry with some essentials. She also made great suggestions for dinner and grocery shopping. The kids loved playing outside in the garden and watching for squirrels in the giant tree.

What a pleasant surprise it was to arrive at Otters Green to be greeted by a very friendly and helpful host, Jean. Such a picturesque and tranquil place. The ensuite room was spotlessly clean and had everything and more for your needs. The bed was so comfortable too. Just across from our room was the breakfast room, with such a large choice to suit all needs. A short walk away were plenty of places to have an evening meal. We would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed one night at Otter's Green during a short trip in the south of the UK. This is lovely place, nice garden and typical countryside House. There is a nice garden too. All in all a very English, country-side house. There was also a spot to park our car just in front of the garden. The room was cosy with a good bed (which is not a given in the UK), space to hang our clothes, a table with the usual things like the kettle, etc.. All the facilities were working fine (bathroom, shower, internet, heating, etc...). Perhaps a bit on a small side, but nothing problematic either. The breakfast took place in renovated granary - a nice surprise: quaint yet a functional and original place to have breakfast :-) The breakfast had all what we wanted, it was good and we could eat as much as we wanted to. The only downside of our stay was that the lady in the adjacent room spent the first part of the night drinking and laughing extremely loudly in her room - she had invited another person even though she was in a single room. The rooms are fairly sonically isolated from each other, no fault here, but when people are very drunk and laugh hysterically you can still somewhat hear them when you are trying to sleep (like in most houses I think). It seems she had a heartbreak and tried to forget it in the wine. Apart from that the room was very quiet, we could not hear any noise from the street. The next day the host was terribly sorry and explained that she had never seen this until now. Despite this issue we would consider coming back if we travel again in this part of the UK, as everything was lovely and the host very helpful.

Just got home from otters green, Jean the host is the perfect host, everything you want Jean will get it for you, (I think Jean would sooner have dogs there then the owners) nothing is to much for her, the b b is very clean, the cottage is lovely, there is everything for breakfast, tables are laid out nicely as well, she even leaves a bicuit out for your doggy pals. It's quite and the gardens are great, thank you Jean for a great stay Eileen and Moss.
