“Had to make several visits with Minnie in last three weeks to have various tests and she has been diagnosed with Diabetes, needing insulin twice a day. I was quite taken a back by the substantial costs l have had to pay for everything so far, for the consultations, the treatment, tests and medical equipment l had to purchase. I was expecting to pay, but not as much as I have done, and this is still ongoing. Having said that, I could not fault the excellent service and attention Minnie has received so far. 30th July 2025 - Had to visit the vet again today as Minnie is not eating well and still drinking a lot. I had concerns, because I wasn't sure of the amount of insulin dosage l should give her. I phoned them yesterday afternoon and was told that I would receive a phone call that evening, as the vet was at another practice .I did receive the call, and they suggested they would make appointment for today, as vet wanted to see her. I was very grateful for the quick response. Vet did some more tests today, and her glucose levels were much to high. They want her to be monitored, and suggested she spends a whole day with them under supervision, so she goes in on Tuesday next week. I cannot fault the attention they have been giving her, and I can see that they care about the animals and do all they can to help them live the rest of their lives in comfort and painless.”

“Tim and his staff are fantastic Our westie Charlie had chronic colitis and our local vet said they had done all they could for him. His weight was dropping dramatically and we feared we were losing him. Tim began treatment and within weeks he was putting on weight and back to his active life. Later he developed a skin disorder which again Tim was able to control. Sadly Charlie passed away with cancer but we know Tim gave him another happy year of life . Thanks again Tim you were brilliant Mark and Tanja”

“We have been taking our cats to Cat’s Whiskers for around 11 years now. It is so good to go to a cat only vet where the waiting area is calm and there are no dog noises! Amanda is an excellent vet, quiet and calm, the appointments are never rushed and are very thorough. As mentioned in previous reviews, you do have to join a pet plan but if you have pets, you owe them that at least. This way they get regular, preventative health checks and are always up to date with flea and worm treatment and vaccinations. I am more than happy to recommend Amanda and her team who all do a wonderful job of making you feel at home, and every effort is made to make the experience as comfortable and stress free as possible for the cats and their owners.”

“This practice never let's our families pets down. We've used them for the last 15+ years - visiting both the Woodingdean and Lewes branches. The reception team are knowledgeable, polite and efficient. The practices are immaculately clean and vet Mark Allaway is the most knowledgeable and kind veterinary surgeon that we could wish for. Would 100% recommend Cliffe vets.”

“I had to visit the PDSA with a cat I found that had been run over. The staff were brilliant, letting me go through the side door so people in the waiting room wouldn't see the cat that had died en route. They were kind and considerate and helped me find the owner of the cat shop I could tell them what had happened.”

“Meridian Vets are absolutely brilliant- Larissa has been looking after our kitties for years and she’s just fabulous. She’s kind, considerate, professional and empathetic- all our kitties are and have been rescues, sometimes with a traumatic past so this has made a big difference to their care. They all love her ! All the other vets we’ve seen over the years have been great too and the nurses are fantastic and caring. The receptionists are brilliant- always kind and understanding . “We have moved to polegate from Hastings and chose this vets purely on recommendation. We have 3 pets and cookie this yorkie is our oldest. She's 15 years old and starting to get poorly. This veterinary practice greets you on the phone with a cheerful and happy manner. When you visit the practice all the staff are so sweet, they are kind, caring, considerate, full of smiles and really make you and your pets feel welcome. I've seen 2 different vets now and both were really thorough and very informative. You don't feel rushed or like you have no idea what they are talking about. They really take the time to explain and put your mind at ease. I could not recommend them enough. We are going back on Wednesday for another procedure for our little cookie, and I feel totally at ease knowing she will be looked after properly.”

“I had a vet appointment for one if mt kittens, so I got on the bus to hollingbury. The vet was very kind, considerate and professional. I am based with their service. I also bought some trea5s for the kittens, while I was waiting. The shop has a large variety of products for dogs, cats, rabbits, and aquarium fish.”

“One of our cats, Pop, was poorly over the Bank Holiday. Our usual vet was closed but forwarded us to New Priory Vets. The team there was very helpful. Roz the vet gave Pop an injection and emailed his file to our vet so we can follow up. We were very happy with the help our furbaby received and would highly recommend this vet.”

“Fantastic experience with Southdown vets. Always really helpful on the phone and really friendly on reception. Vets have all been really helpful. My dog recently had to be sedated for ear checks and the attending practicioners (sorry I didn't catch their names!) made him really comfortable and were very understanding with him being very nervous. Wouldn't hestitate to recommend to anyone.”

“I am so grateful to this practice for all the fantastic care and attention they have given to my cat, especially over the last 18months since she was diagnosed with 2 critical illnesses. I always knew they were good from our annual vet check ups and occasional visits following the odd cat fight! However, since her diagnoses last year the staff have been absolutely brilliant - both with our cat and with us. Every member of staff has been extremely friendly, professional, knowledgable, honest and so very caring. It's been a long journey already but 18 months on and our lovely little cat is back to her playful, mischievous self and in the best health for a while. Whilst that may not last forever, I know she is in the best possible care with the team at Southdown. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”

“I had to return my Amazon parcel which involved dealing with customer service. Lesley, (I think that was her name) was the only customer service member of staff at that time. Lesley's professionalism stood out, even in a busy environment with a long queue. She demonstrated in-depth knowledge of her role and the issues she was dealing with. Her courtesy and pleasant demeanor were notable, even when dealing with agitated customers. Lesley handled a variety of complex issues efficiently. She remained organized and composed under pressure. Asda should be so pleased and proud to have her as a member of their front facing staff.”

“My anxious dog had to go in for sedation and x-ray. Everyone was approachable. The Nurse Cara was so calm and kind that my dog even allowed her to place a cannula and was comfortable for the appointment. The very rang as promised to explain the results and a treatment plan. Lovely practice to deal with”

“I’m very happy with Coastway in Lewes. All the vets and nurses have a great relationship with their patients and I have received good advice e.g. when my cat was being bullied. Vets are expensive but on various occasions Coastway staff have suggested ways of saving money. The appointments tend to be in the afternoon and it’s sometimes very difficult to exit the car park due to parked cars - not their fault I know.”

“We've been with these vets for about 9 years now and I have always had good service from them. All the vets we have seen over the years have been absolutely lovely. Our most recent visits we have seen Sarah who is relatively new to the practice, she was amazing with our new puppy and also managed to handle our grumpy old cat with care and confidence on another visit. The receptionists and nurses are all really helpful and friendly.”
