   I cannot fault this practice for their consistently kind and compassionate treatment of our elderly dog, Dotty, when she got very sick while we were on holiday in Sussex and after a night of emergency care, had to be euthanized. They have a quiet garden room where they euthanize pets and we were given time to sit with her and say goodbye. All the staff knew what was happening and treated us with so much care and gentle handling. They didn’t know us or Dotty, but they treated her like she was one of the family. We’ve had a fair amount of contact with the office team since then to deal with admin and bills and they’ve been really lovely to work with at such a horrible time. Big thank you to everyone at New Priory, particularly vet Megan, who was our vet the morning we said goodbye to our Dot. She completely understood the situation and was very kind to Dotty and to our family.

   Last year we had several experiences with New Priory Vets that I still haven’t forgotten - and ultimately, they were serious enough for us to move to a different practice. One small example: we were charged £65 for a simple tick removal that took about one minute. I understand clinics have set fees, but this felt completely disproportionate and left a sour taste. But the real issue was a far more serious situation involving a vulnerable dog we temporarily took in after witnessing repeated neglect. We brought him to New Priory Vets genuinely believing he would finally be safe and properly protected. Instead, everything became tangled in procedures, “policies,” and what felt like internal politics involving StreetVet, a delusional charity that believes the best place for pets is on the streets with their drug-addicted owners. Despite what we believed were obvious signs of neglect - including him being left out repeatedly in freezing temperatures - we were told he would still be returned to his owner. We left feeling powerless, unheard, and deeply disappointed that welfare didn’t seem to be the priority. It was an incredibly upsetting experience, and it has stayed with us ever since. Because of all this, we decided to leave New Priory Vets, and based on our experiences, I would not recommend them.

   I can’t thank these amazing people enough for helping me and my dog Randy after he had an accident where he got hit by a car, he was seen within 10minutes of me phoning up as an emergency. The staff are incredibly helpful and considerate. If there were more stars i would give them more. They helped tremendously and have always been incredible to us. Thank you all!!

   One of our cats, Pop, was poorly over the Bank Holiday. Our usual vet was closed but forwarded us to New Priory Vets. The team there was very helpful. Roz the vet gave Pop an injection and emailed his file to our vet so we can follow up. We were very happy with the help our furbaby received and would highly recommend this vet.

   Fantastic service, couldn't praise more highly. Received wonderful care from all the lovely vets, (Sophie, Polly, Martina, Nicky) nurses and receptionists when my dear cat Monkey needed emergency surgery and I was unable to travel to my usual vet's out-of-hours practice. So supportive, completely sympathetic and understanding. She was treated so well, and I was kept updated regularly and given realistic feedback on her progress. Happily she made a full recovery. I have now registered both of our cats with New Priory for all of their care.

   I just wanted to post to thank the fab team at New Priory Vets who saw us straight away when we just turned up, after our pup managed to eat an unknown number of celebration chocolates! As many owners would, we totally panicked, expected some meds / procedures and a hefty bill! But they were so kind and honest, after assessing him and doing some checks advised that he should be fine and just to monitor They've always been great with us, but today was especially fab ❤️ thank you all we are very grateful to have a trusting vet so locally

   Couldn’t recommend New Priory Vets more. They have helped my spaniel through cancer, arthritis and eating an unknown yucky object! I always completely trust the team, they keep me up to date on her progress if she has had to stay in and are always super friendly on check up visits. I trust them with my dog, and would recommend them to friends. Thank you all at New Priory.

   It is with great sadness, I've lost my best buddy Mustard tonight but I want to thank all the staff for their time, care and treatment. I am going to miss him a tremendous amount.    The staff are amazing. Considerate, caring and compassionate. Took my dog here as he needed to be put to sleep. We were place in a wonderful little cabin which made you feel like you were at home. Everything was done with dignity and with a caring touch. Thank you for making my decision easier .
