Attended a wedding here. We didn't stay overnight. Beautiful location, staff extremely helpful and courteous. service outstanding. Delicious food. Brilliant atmosphere. Lovely outbuildings gardens and courtyard to enjoy too.
The wedding itself was fabulous and staff great. However the tiny rooms were pathetic. Such as disappointing experience. A summer duvet on the beds and no heating in our room for the first night. I slept in my clothes. Got it sorted for second night. No long mirror in room. No internet in room. One plug in room. Thankfully I brought my own plugs. No iron, no ironing board. No room to swing a cat. For the money it was mediocre. Breakfast was basic not worth the money either. Iv been to 5 star hotels cheaper than larchfield so i believe they need to sort the problems out I would recommend staying somewhere else. My husband and I are both now down with the cold. So 2 out 10 for a clean but miserable stay.
Our wedding was beyond what we could have hoped for! From our initial viewing through to the big day, Larchfield were wonderful. We chose the 'Larchfield Bliss' package and it was such a great decision. Meg one of their incredible coordinators recommended and then chased up suppliers. She was in contact with us in the run up to the day and was there on the day and the morning after. She was professional but relaxed and made the whole process so fun. There were wonderful options for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, and they shifted timings slightly and dried seats on the day so our ceremony could still be outdoors in the walled garden despite a burst of rain just before. They had an MC (Derek) who ran our day so that it went without a hitch - ushering guests at the right time and getting everyone in the party spirit. Also they have such a great indoor/outdoor reception area with fires and marshmallows in the evening! This connects to a relaxed bar area and the barn where we had dinner and our band was like something out of a fairy tale. All of our guests were blown away. With the package the barn is already decorated and it was absolutely stunning, but Larchfield are happy for you to add your own touches if you want. It was a very personal service with as much or as little input from the team as you wanted. They were available for query's from us and our family at all times and let us go back for repeated viewings. They even had the venue packed up by the team the next morning! We booked the accommodation for 2 nights and it was so special to have our close family, bridesmaids and groomsmen all staying on site with us. The accommodation is really high quality and very comfy beds! Thank you to Larchfield for making not only our day but the whole planning process seem easy/fun. We've enjoyed the whole process and are so grateful to your team for all the work they put in.
Before I talk about accommodation, I do need to mention how wonderful Larchfield estate was for our wedding. From the moment we stepped foot in it for our viewing, we knew right away this was the venue! And leading up to the big day, no question was too silly and no email or phone call was too much for the team at the venue (Cathy, Megs, Megan, Georgina and Donna). Honestly what a dream team - they put up with my endless queries and were always on hand to help out and ease any worries we had and we honestly can’t thank them enough for being such a big part of our day and providing that helping hand before, during and after! A special thank you also goes to Gary (our coordinator on the wedding day) - you were fantastic at keeping us right on the day and being on hand to assist with anything - no task was too big and we can’t thank you enough for what you did for us during the day/night! The team at Larchfield really are a testament to how fabulous this venue is for weddings and we can honestly say we truly had the most perfect day! Accommodation: Such a beautiful venue with stunning accommodation - the service was top notch! We stayed at the gate lodge the night before and it was one of the best decisions made as it helped a lot with the preparations before our wedding and also it gave us peace of mind on the day of as we knew we were only a few minutes drive from the ceremony room at Larchfield! The gate lodge is so beautifully designed and it has everything you need; the rooms have great space and great lighting too if you are looking to get photos done on the morning of etc! The location is great - as I’d mentioned, if you are getting married at Larchfield, the lodge itself is right by the entrance gates to the estate (so only a few minutes drive up and a few more if you decide to walk). On the night of our wedding, Reece and I stayed at the rose cottage and it was also unreal - so much room for the two of us and the little touches around the place were super sweet! We loved our stay at Larchfield and would highly recommend it to anyone trying to find a hidden gem in Northern Ireland to say in (whether it’s for a wedding or a holiday).
The Larchfield Estate truly surpassed every expectation I had for my wedding day. My husband and I got married there a month ago, and our guests are still talking about how seamless and magical the day was. People keep saying it felt like stepping into a real-life fairytale. Planning a wedding from New York could have been stressful, but the Larchfield team made it feel easy. They’re like built-in wedding planners, handling the big logistical details and all the small touches you wouldn’t think of. They were so communicative and reassuring throughout the entire process, and they’re clearly seasoned pros when it comes to destination weddings. One of the things that stood out most was how well they coordinated with all of our other vendors. They double and triple-checked everything before the big day, confirming timing and logistics so we didn’t have to worry. And the property? Absolutely unreal. From the beautifully maintained grounds to the llamas
Great place just a pity about the bar staff.. a smile would have been nice..barmaid did not look as though she wanted to be there and grumbled about every order
What an amazing place, just breath taking. Laura who we dealt with was so friendly and helped us through out planning. We choose this venue to get married we were that impressed
Attended a Christmas fair at Larchfield Estate recently. What a beautiful set of buildings restored to a high standard. I could imagine this venue being used for many different events
Simply lovely place to have a wedding gorgeous Irish Guinness! Food was fantastic too and staff were prompt, friendly and attentive.
Superb wedding venue. Wonderful outside and indoor spaces to allow for the weather, with accommodation on site for a sizable wedding party. Good disability access and bathroom facilities. Staff really go the extra mile to help
