My dentist referred my son here as he has communication and sensory issues and they couldn't even get him to sit in the dental chair even after trying for 4 years. We saw CHCP Dental Services at Highlands Health Centre once for an emergency when he was having some pain (and they saw us within 2 days of getting the referral) and then we continued to wait on the waiting list for regular appointments - he now gets seen every 3 months in a bid to get him comfortable with his dentist appointments. Every time, the dentist has managed to get a good look at his teeth and given great advice. My son is becoming more and more comfortable at every appointment! He still won't sit in the chair but the patience of the dentist is amazing. They have techniques and clearly a lot of special needs experience so can make it work for your individual child!
