Excellent and prompt service for my dog when he got some barley barbs inside his ear. Hawthorne Lodge provided a quotation prior to the procedure and have even submitted my insurance claim for me.
We had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our beloved dog to sleep and sadly, the experience at this practice made an already traumatic moment even worse. From start to finish, the process felt disorganised and uncertain. The staff did not appear to know what they were doing, and we were left feeling unsupported and confused. We were told that they would take a print of his nose for us to keep, something I was really holding onto as a small piece of him. We’ve since been told that this didn’t happen — because the nurse went to lunch and it was simply forgotten. My dog has now been cremated, and we’ll never get that chance back. There are no second chances in a moment like this. What should have been handled with care and compassion felt careless and rushed. I truly hope no one else has to experience this.
I just got a $700bill for a standard treatment for our two dogs. Three injections. And you wonder why people don’t take care of their dogs. Children are cheaper.

We have always been with hawthorne Lodge and in the main been quite satisfied with the services there . However losing our beloved yogi on a bank holiday was one of the worst experiences we've had . Yogi passed away at home at 10pm new years day and the out of hours service provided by hawthorne Lodge are in Coventry. After speaking to Coventry on the phone we were told to move yogis body to a cool place over night . We had to move our boy to the garage over night retrieve his body in the morning and drive him to Coventry. This was obviously very very upsetting . No one can predict the illness or passing of a pet and if this falls on a holiday I feel the service provided is completely unacceptable. If we are to get another dog we definitely will not be staying with hawthorne
All of the team are so caring and helpful. Our dog had an issue and we managed to get her in at very short notice. She was treated with such kindness from David and Lotte, and a special shout out to Tracy who was so helpful and efficient. Thank you all!
I have been with Hawthorne Lodge Vets since 2006 with all our pets. The service,care and compassion is amazing. Today my worst nightmare came true,I found one of our cats deceased after my night shift. She was only just 3 years old. We took her to the vets. Amanda was so amazing and compassionate, she didn't rush us at all. We said our goodbye and she reassured us that she will look after our little baby. Thank you Amanda.
