   Can’t speak highly enough of my experience here. From diagnosis to surgery has been a smooth experience. Soon after discovering I had a hernia in diagnosis, was put forward to surgery and got given the exact date I asked for. I came in first thing 22nd December for the surgery, and the whole team were fantastic. I was nervous about the procedure, and every single staff member from the nurse, surgeon and anaesthetist made me feel comfortable. I was genuinely surprised at how much more at ease I felt, even when about to go under. I was in and out in under 4 hours and the recovery so far has been exactly as stated. So yes thank you to the team, I’m afraid I can’t remember exact names from the day but everyone I spoke to was brilliant. Would recommend to anyone.

   Excellent care and treatment provided within the day surgery unit at St Marys. I found the care and professionalism to be outstanding from start to finish. Everyone involved in my care for my hernia repair was so kind and attentive that even though this was a minor procedure this level of service takes away any anxiety when attending for an operation. Thanks to all involved.

   I had day surgery at Practice plus Portsmouth 3 weeks ago with the hernia team, I have to say that the whole process from outpatient to completed surgery was excellent. From the Consultant Ms Lam , Anaesthetist Dr Walker and all the Nurses and Theatre staff all were skilled in their roles, professional, caring and friendly. As a recently retired RGN myself I was very impressed at how well they undertake their day surgery I would highly recommend using this unit and team if you need them, thanks to all staff

   Had a gastroscopy here today, I’ll be honest it’s not the most comfortable thing but the staff were amazing and really supportive. I had just the throat spray no sedation, was over in about 3 minutes. Was only at the centre about 30 minutes in total.

   Cannot fault the treatment I received. I had a colonoscopy which was easy and pretty pain free- they spoke to me throughout the procedure and shared their findings. I was very frightened initially as everyone I spoke to said it was painful and at times excruciating. I’d go again in a heart beat. Excellent place, doctors and nurses.

   Thank you from the receptionist to triarge nurse to senior nurse to radiology nurse to the paramedic in the minor injuries clinic, who sorted out my broken wrist on Friday 20th January around lunch time.    Had an endoscopy here and as an anxious patient I was very much put at ease. The receptionists were friendly, the whole process was super efficient and quick. I was in and out in just over an hour! The nurses and doctors were very knowledgeable and friendly, and helped me relax during the procedure. Would recommend!

   I originally had an endoscopy done here a couple of years ago but couldn’t finish the procedure. This time, I got an appointment within 5 days of them calling me, and knowing I was extremely anxious and bordering on having a panic attack, the nurses and doctor were absolutely brilliant at putting my mind at ease, explaining everything in a simple yet concise manner, explaining everything they did beforehand, the quality of care here was absolutely brilliant! Once I’d woken up a bit from the sedation the lady looking after me was so very kind, she didn’t rush me at all and she made sure I was safe to leave with my boyfriend taking me home. She held my hand at one point when I was struggling, I don’t remember the procedure too well due to sedation but I remember the warmth and empathy she showed towards me. Thank you so much for all you do.

   I have used Portsmouth Diagnostics Imaging Department (St-Mary’s hospital) a few times. Always found the reception team and a doctor to be professional, helpful, polite and just great, they put you at your ease, and they explain everything that is going on on the screen. Highly recommend
