My seriously ill wife was admitted to Queen Alexandra Hospital (A & E) late Tuesday night following a collapse at home. The Ambulance team were Polite, Friendly, Professional and Thorough. In A & E I was taken quickly from the busy Reception area to the Bay my wife was in. The Medical Staff worked quickly and efficiently to devise the best treatment, happily explaining what they were doing as they worked. There was an impressive amount of knowledge sharing amongst the staff. The less visible members of the team carried out their work so well I only noticed their work after it had been done. Any Staff member who I had occasion to talk to was Friendly, Polite and clear in their explanations. The department seemed clean and well ordered and busy but not rushed.

I was flown to Q.A. by Air Ambulance from IoW with chest pain. I was taken straight to the Cath Lab and a stent was fitted very quickly. I then spent a few days on CCU where everyone was fantastic and took great care of me. Every process from start to finish was faultless and I can't thank everyone involved in my care enough.

My visit to QA hospital was very positive and I was extremely happy with how I was looked after. I arrived at 8 o clock in the morning by an ambulance (the two paramedics were amazing, and helped me to stay calm). I was in A&E for 9 1/2 hours, and in that time every medical professional I spoke to was caring, thorough and explained things to me so I could understand . This reassured me. I must express that I have never visited an A&E department that has ever been that busy before and there wasn’t enough chairs or standing up space for patients and relatives, however, it didn’t take away from the standard of care that I received.

I had surgery yesterday on level E and I feel compelled to write a review about my experience; the staff there were absolutely amazing from Beth who admitted me right through to Noel who anaesthetised me, the surgeon who carried out my operation, the staff who looked after me in recovery and the discharge team. The level of quality care and compassion I received made me feel at ease, their presence and professionalism was outstanding. Thank you very much for looking after me. Very grateful.

I would like to thank the staff in D7 and A&E last night for looking after me. The ambulance staff were amazing. I had the biggest seizure I had last night and they arrived and dealt with me so efficiently. They were lovely. The Dr in A&E was also very efficient. Staff on D7 where I was a couple of days before in particular, George were amazing. Thank you. The only negative comment I would say is the cleanliness of A&E is poor….it’s not great but I understand they are busy but the triage rooms and toilets were filthy.

Our family is receiving first class service in order to facilitate a kidney transplant between family members. Very little waiting for tests and procedures and great staff. Also impressed that you only have to stop and look a bit lost and every passing staff member offers to help you! Seems a very efficient place and hats off to the renal unit.

That was the poorest health service I’ve ever experienced. We arrived at A&E that my partner was literally folded in two by the pain We were not even admitted into the waiting room because of their Covid policy and told to wait outside (in the cold) and book a phone call with a nurse that would have called us within 30mins to tell us whether we were in the right place or not! 1h later we were still waiting outside..
