I'm posting this for my brother and sister in law. This is not my surgery. I'm speaking as I find. My brother has been coping with very difficult symptoms these past 8 months. Started with high blood pressure and constant dizziness. This practice has constantly fobbed him off with various diagnosis, from depression and grief, to a folic acid deficiency. My sister in law has had to constantly push this surgery for a diagnosis for my brother whose symptoms are worsening by the week. Thanks to her persistence alone, my brother has had an MRI, and an ENT appointment. The MRI was clear. The nurse at ENT mentioned Parkinsons, which doesn't show on an MRI. We have suspected this and did our own research into the disease. My sister in law has been in contact with Parkinsons UK who have been so helpful but cannot do much more because we still don't have a formal diagnosis! My brother has been sent an appointment for neurology November next year!! Without a formal diagnosis and another year to wait how on earth is my brother expected to carry on working when his symptoms are escalating rapidly. He's self employed, paid into the system all his life and never asked for anything. Now, when he needs help it's not there. This means by the time he gets any medication he could be so much worse. My sister in law is beside herself with worry. There's no support from this surgery either. They've told my brother its down to ENT! He has been pushed back and forth and we're no closer to getting him a diagnosis or the correct medication. Disgusting service.

Requested a blood test for iron levels due to constant and unexpected bleeding. I have been told that i can expect a text or a phone call two weeks after i made the request. Absolutely abhorrent service. Unfortunately i have been with westlands almost 20 years and it's just disappointment after disappointment. I would not recommend them as a doctor's surgery and will look into how easy it is to change after yet another failing by them.

Just appalling receptionist. Rude and unhelpful. Sat on hold for 35 mins to be told use the form online (which isn't working). When trying to explain this the receptionist talked over us. If you don't want to help people maybe retire or work at Tesco.

I have always praised this practice, but recently I have had bad experiences. I had a blood test, no response after but 2 weeks later had text saying I would get a rely within 10 days. A month later nothing. Also someone close to me had a test done, no response, couple of weeks later had more symptoms out of hours, called 111 who came out. They said he will see someone at QA within 2 weeks. He did and was found to have cancerous tumours. Had he not called 111 I believe he would of been left and things would of got so much worse. Westlands even questioned as to why he called 111. It's really scary as so many people are possibly getting illnesses missed. And I now feel what's the point contacting them again. Never see a GP anyway. Makes me wonder who decides whether we are worthy of being seen?
