This hospital is fantastic. The staff are excellent. I had hand surgery in July by my consultant Dr Philip Sauve who is very kind and put me at ease before and after the surgery. His aftercare too is excellent answered any questions I had. I'm having physio too by the excellent Ben who is a real help.Thank you Dr Sauve and team. Tracey
I just want to say a huge thank you to the team at the Spire Hospital in Havant. A special thank you to Anibel, the senior staff nurse, whose care was honestly outstanding. Please pass these compliments on to her. I also want to thank the anaesthetists who helped me feel calm and safe every step of the way. I had a total hip replacement at Spire Hospital Portsmouth yesterday. The service I have received has been excellent. From reception, surgery, post care to discharge. The staff have been so kind, attentive & caring, I am so grateful to each & every one of them. I’m looking forward to regaining my Mobility & quality of life. The service provided to me was nothing short of excellent.
Unfortunately I have to update my previous positive review of this hospital. Last week, I did several tests ordered by a GP at this hospital. I was told to expect a phone call when results were available. I am paying for all of these tests out of pocket and the total cost will be 500 pounds. I never received any phone call, but I did get a brief one line email from the GP, telling me to book another appointment if I had any further questions. The email did not contain any detailed results or anything of the sort. Since then, I have been trying in vain to find out how to get my results - one employee even suggested to me that I should do a Subject Access Request, which would take a month for a reply. The GP used to have a secretary, but I have been told she was made redundant, so now nobody really knows what to do with queries about the GP except telling me to "write an email". I believe the NHS is more efficient than this private hospital, since they have an app where you can access results immediately. I would not spend money at this hospital again unless I absolutely had to - the customer service is basically non-existent. I also just noticed that they invoiced me a completely wrong amount for a sample. This hospital is beyond unprofessional.
Sadly this hospital has deteriorated with regards to the ability to arranging appointments. After a week of sending an email request to arrange an urgent CT scan I received no reply. I telephoned, received only an answer machine. Leaving two messages requesting help, no reply to either. I recommend the Spire Farham who answer calls quickly and efficiently and are very friendly and helpful. The NHS may be quicker too!
I wish I could give less than 1 star. Service is horrible, I wouldn’t recommend here atall. Let’s start with booking an appointment that was stressful because we booked an appointment to see a surgeon and we weren’t on the list despite the fact we had already paid for the consultation fee and confirmation of payment sent to me. Then on the surgery day we were told it was ok to come in at 9am, we got there on time and was made to sit at the reception till past 11 o’clock till we could be called up to the ward. I couldn’t go into the ward with my sister, why did I decide to go private and paid cash if I can’t enjoy the luxury of having 1 family around before my surgery. Their reason was that ohhh it’s a busy ward. It would have been better going to NHS that spending this money. All in all stay away it’s not worth spending so much to get this horrible service.
Disgusting service! The only best part was my partners Consultation! Got sent a quote for my girlfriends surgery payed it in full to be told it was in fact the wrong quote had been given!! would be issued with a new quote thinking it wouldn’t be much different to be then sent a quote which was £2000 dearer!!! Asked for a refund they said 3/5 working days it’s now been 10 working days still no refund!! Wouldn’t recommend a local company!
We are covered by insurance. you cant get anyone to answer phone calls, they send you spurious bills as they cant get their admin right, cancelled appointments, turned up and the consultant wasn't even aware. I can understand if this was a free service but to pay for it and still have this level of service is a bit ridiculous.
Absolutely first class treatment by Mr Harvey when after trying for 3 weeks to get through to my GP surgery without success. Within the space of a week I had my consultation, MRI scan and diagnosis. You can't ask for more than that. Thank you very much Mr. Harvey
Very disappointed. Had my operation here which went great and I’m glad for that but the service and overall experience was terrible. They told me to come at 6AM that I’d be first but then they reversed the list without telling me so I waited 5 ours after waking up at 3AM coming from London before my operation. For how much you pay I was expecting a more modern room and better food to be honest. Finally, hidden charges are always there. Had to pay £170 for a follow up after my surgery with my own money, no one told me that the follow up to check for healing had to be paid. That’s insane. Go to another hospital.
