I am appalled with how I was treated by the lady on reception (Michelle Wright) who then informed me she was the practice manager. She was very rude and condescending and had no compassion whatsoever. I asked for help as my online e-consultations where not working as I had rang at 8:30am which is how you used to be able to book an appointment to then be rudely told they can’t book appointments over the phone anymore, when I highlighted to her I had been trying to get an appointment for 4-5 weeks with no luck she told me I would have to go online at 8am and re-submit a consultation form, when I again told her it was not working she told me to calm down insinuating I was being aggressive when in actual fact she was being rude and wasn’t willing to help at all! How is it by the time I will be seeing a doctor it will be 4 weeks after first trying to speak to someone. Do I have to be dead before they will take me serious? Absolute sham of a medical practice.

AVOID THIS SURGERY!!! - Reception staff are rude and assumptive both in person and over the phone, bar a select few who actually care about the patients and go above and beyond. - Some reception staff are giving out medical advice and when I've been in appointments with a nurse and quoted their words, I've been told they are incorrect and should not be giving out this advice. - Don't pay for any services not covered under the NHS I had paid for 2 separate services on different occasions, which I received notification between 1-3 weeks after paying that the surgery was not able to complete them. Despite asking reception to confirm with the doctors that the surgery was capable of performing the services before paying. Moreover, no refund has been offered despite them never actually completing what I had paid for.

A difficult job for the most part but the procedure to book an appointment with a healhcare professional seems flawed in my opinion they have seemed to have a built in rule that you have got to book a appointment from 8.30 am not taken into account you may feel unwell at 3.30 pm. From my experience there is a lack of flexibility and common sense

I always have a good experience. The reception team are very responsive and I have always seen a doctor / nurse or had a call back when needed. The repeat prescription service bookable via the NHS app works really well. Yes, you do have to call at 8.30am for a same day appointment / call but I have always been able to get through. Thank you to the whole team.

Awful experiences with a reception staff member and reception manager over the phone. A simple request which was then made to be a huge task and I was questioned on my medical knowledge. Opinions were expressed by them…yet they should keep them to themselves. I am medically trained and have worked in the medical industry for years. It’s a shame. The outcome: I eventually received the item in question of which I am entitled to by law and government guidelines.

I cannot fault the service and care I have recieved from The Witterings Medical centre, in particular Dr Tunnicliffe. After experiencing a seizure, cardiac arrest and a hospital stay, Dr Tunnicliffe has followed up with other medical professionals to ensure I get the specialist appointments I require. I feel his urgency and commitment to follow this through has been above and beyond my expectations. He has been consistently caring and empathetic to myself and my husband at this very traumatic time. If everyone had a Dr like him, there would be no complaints. Thank you Dr Tunnicliffe for your support, you really are a credit to the medical profession and we are lucky to have you at our practice.

Can’t praise the staff enough, always extremely helpful and listen to your needs. We must remember that they are all under a lot of pressure and us the patients don’t appreciate it. Thank-you for all you do.

I can not fault the care I have received over COVID from the medical centre. Yes things have changed but the GPs and staff have without exception been kind, caring and helpful. I had a call with a lovely doctor last night who listened to my concerns and talked through all my options at 6pm last night. Thank you to all the team.

I have received nothing but excellent care at this wonderful surgery. In very pressing times with Covid, doctors have called me at home on the day they said they would, and when I have needed to see a doctor they have been very kind, thorough and professional. The staff on the desk have been very helpful and efficient. I’m a retired practice nurse so I completely understand the pressures they are under. Five stars from me!
