   I had blurred vision so got an emergency appointment with Trevor, he was so kind and informative. He spent over an hour with me and the service was as good as it gets. All sorted now, don't need to see me for 12 months.

   The staff in here were great and very friendly. I usually go to another place but this Vision Express has a slot when I needed it. They were welcoming and quick to process me through. Beatrice the optician was very polite, informative and helped me understand how the different lenses would affect my vision. The place was clean and tidy and well situated in the centre of the shopping centre. I would definitely come here again.

   Not greeted as I walked, the two people working in the shop seemed to be having a competition for who could ignore me most effectively. I picked one, and was asked to sit in the waiting area. The chairs appeared stained. I had arrived two minutes ahead of my appointment time. Ten minutes after my appointment time, after I had been walked past and solidly ignored numerous times, I left.

   I’ve been a customer at Whiteley branch for a number of years, the current team were amazing following a recent health scare which involved a visual disturbance, Emma was really helpful and calming when I was panicking over the phone, Trevor took the time to explain exactly what was going on (better than the hospital had!) and gave a thorough examination which put my mind at rest and gave me a much better understanding of my condition. Kate was extremely patient whilst I ummed and ahhhed over frames for some time, helping with my decision and Jon was very helpful with aftercare. I definitely recommend giving them a try.

   All eye test experiences should be this amazing. Jon was an absolute superstar who gave me honest feedback on my glasses choice and helped to temporarily fix my glasses. Sharna explained the process very well, giving guidance when I felt confused. The optician was super lovely and gave me great advice on my eye care. Thank you all xx

   Amazing kindness and after care following my partial macula hole diagnosis. The optician, Saleh and the whole team have supported me with thorough scans, tests, explanations and letters to hospital eye specialists and GP. This demonstrates the importance of regular eye tests.

   Took my 5 year old daughter here for an eye test and was greeted by friendly staff. Had to return the following week for dilating drops to complete the test, my daughter was very anxious & distressed however all the staff were really patient & reassuring with her and tried there best to comfort her. Glasses were ready for pick up within less than a week. Great service.

   Absolute shambles. Booked an eye test twice with them and both times have turned up to be told I'm not booked in Showed the text confirming date and time but told someone had moved me to the next day. Made another appointment there and then as they said it was a computer glitch so safer to do it in person. Offered a free test as compensation and given an appointment card. Turn up today, I'm not booked in!! Showed card to the sales assistant to which the manager shouted across at him 'see Jacob about that as there's been a mix up' so they were obviously aware of it. Couldn't give an explanation but couldn't fit me in till Thursday which wasn't convenient. Offered another free test but don't trust them now. Asked them why they didn't contact me if they knew there was a problem, no answer to that. Should have gone to Specsavers in the first place!!

   Visiting an optician rarely comes into the top 100 things to spend my time doing. However, it is essential and made all the better when you encounter polite, capable and considerate staff. Having the start of my 3:10 appointment delayed, I felt slightly miffed but the optometrist Saqib (Zaman) invited me in for my test despite the preliminaries not having been completed and conducted some of those tests himself. I think I was given the best eye examination I have ever received. He is quietly spoken, undemonstrative and patient, whilst eager to provide the best possible result. Having been given my new prescription, Josh gave me a brief run through the options and gave me time and space to find what I wanted (I hate hoverers)! All round, a good experience.
