Robbie is a great guide; is so knowledgeable about the Mourne mountain range. He and his son, Dylan, kept us on the best path and made sure everyone had a great trip out in the hills. We will definitely be booking another guided hike.
Spent an amazing day in the Mournes with Robbie as the guide last weekend (Devil's Coach Road event). Such a wonderful day full of stories, history and beautiful landscapes. I have been following Mourne Mountain Adventures on Facebook and have been envious of the walks from afar. Whilst visiting Antrim I took the opportunity to book on a guided walk with Robbie and Dylan to walk Eagle Ridge. I am a solitude person and I can struggle with groups, however it was a lovely group of like minded people and I felt comfortable to dip in and out of company. All abilities were considered in a pleasant subtle manner so not to leave people feeling uncomfortable. Robbie was a lively, funny soul with a wealth of knowledge of the mountains, geology and even plant life. We couldn't have wished for a better day weather wise and the view did not disappoint, in fact it was quite breathtaking and mesmerising. I felt safe and comfortable throughout the walk and I wouldn't hesitate to book with Mourne Mountain Adventures again, if I only lived closer!
Mourne Mountain Adventures is just fantastic! I’ve booked on to numerous local hikes in the Mournes, challenge hikes and weekends to Ben Nevis and Snowdonia. Every trip has been amazing. I was very lucky to come across this guide during my very first hiking adventure. Robbie and his team of guides kept my adventures fun and full of novel and historical facts around Mourne Mountains trip. Even in difficult weather conditions, everything ran smoothly and, above all, safely! I’m quite an introverted person but I still enjoyed the great company My impression was the same for the others in the group, as we all had great fun chatting away. They really do everything to make you feel confident, feel safe and enjoy every moment! It is difficult to describe my impressions in a few sentences, but I would highly recommend them.
Completed my first hike with Mourne Mountain Adventures. Robbie’s local knowledge of the Mournes is excellent & great to have him as a guide especially when you don’t know the area and have poor navigation skills. Robbie shared lots of tips and practical advice on safety in the mountains. A fun day out and would definitely recommend Mourne Mountain Adventures.
Best thing I ever found while googling guided hikes, came across Robbie Marsh, the Intro Hikes were so appealing to me. To say I was impressed with my first outing (Aug 2021) was an understatement although the views were not great but meeting likeminded people and making friends was enough for me to get hooked. Robbie made everyone at ease, his knowledge and guidance is excellent with showing us some navigational skills, along with the craic and banter. Having completed many hikes with Robbie and the lads at Mourne Mountain Adventures, my latest was the Summer Solstice (Wild Camping) which Robbie, went above and beyond in keeping us safe and giving us five-star treatment, quality tents and treating us to food which was way above my expectations. One hike I will savour and would highly recommend. Looking forward to more adventures, getting out of my comfort zone known we are all in safe hands. Robbie has given me confidence past few months to meet up with friends made here and get on with many more adventures. Last week I went on my first Solo hike and got carried away with the awesomeness that is The Mournes. Thank you to all at MMA.
My first time in the Mournes and I travelled a distance. I booked with Robbie for a two day which included overnight camping, it was nothing short of excellent. Robbie is very intuitive with mountain, weather and the pace of the group, has such local knowledge of everything in sight, I got to know others in the group, the camping was very comfortable with high quality gear. I felt very looked after and everything catered for. Would definitely recommend. I am a solo hiker and going with a group lead by Robbie was amazing. highly recommend so worth it. Will be back.
Mourne Mountain Adventures are a fantastic adventure crew right in the heart of some of the most incredibly stunning areas for hiking in Ireland. Their guides took such good care of me and all the others during the entire events. Their professionalism and attention to detail allows them to do all the preparation work for you so all you have to do is show up! Five stars for Robbie and his adventure guides. Can’t wait to get back out soon!!
