I had a very nice Sunday carvery. Sadly, my first experience there was on their last day before closing. Hopefully their new iteration will have the same basic food food and cheerful staff.

Popped in here while passing through the town, we were first in at noon on a Sunday morning. Really lovely clean establishment. Super friendly welcome from all staff on duty. Had the Sunday roast options of turkey and ham along with the roast beef. Excellent food. Good portion sizes and genuinely delicious. Service was great and very attentive. Can't really judge the overall atmosphere as we were the only people in! But I'd say it's great, plenty of sports tvs and savage sound system! Highly recommended if you're passing through.

I love this spot usually, never had an issue in my many times here, but today in the pub section an off-duty, very drunk blonde manager made numerous nasty comments to me as she "hasn't seen my face before" and insinuated that I wasn't welcome several times, while at a personal event in the restaurant space. The other staff and even regulars were gentlemen, trying to assure her I was only in for a quiet drink but she then started to ask "is he not barred". Very unprofessional, I was sat to myself, I will turn heel about foot if I come back if she is working, but to be clear the other staff have been great.

We found Larkins while out walking & called in for a drink. It doesn't look much from outside but very nice & pleasant inside. It was quiet so we sat at a window table & looked at the menu. They had a very good steak meal offer on for Friday and we decided to come back later to try that. We had wings starter, tasty, crispy & good portion, 10oz steak with trimmings and sauce each & a sticky toffee to share plus a bottle of wine for £60. They also did £6 cocktails from 5 to 7 & these were very good. A place we definitely try again.

We were absolutely blown away with both the quality of food and the service. Absolutely beautiful inside, lovely ambiance, and the biggest selection of vegetarian and vegan food I’ve seen in Ireland. A big thank you to Kevin for such great service, and we’ve heard nothing but good things about Brian and his team or chefs in the kitchen. Thank you, we will be back!
