The pharmacist is knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful — as good as they come. (In the past, counterstaff had struggled occasionally with getting my late mother's prescriptions right, but that could easily have been the fault of the local GP Practice, whose senior partners unfortunately too often were incompetent, arrogant and dismissive).
I wish these reviews were in date order, and that the oldest ones would drop off after a period. There were consistently bad reviews some years ago, but things and some staff have changed since then. It is not fair that the current regime suffer ratings based on their predecessors. My one criticism is that there often is not sufficient stock, but as my medication is consistently the same, I overcome that issue by knowing to re-order it a few days before I need it. In my experience based over the last two years and the last year in particular, I have found the staff here to be friendly, thorough, and very accommodating. I have NO plans to go elsewhere. Came here for travel vaccinations and it was a great experience! Booked me in with 2 days notice, all other pharmacies such as boots were booked up for weeks for this service, so this was great! My appointment started on time and the pharmacist was so lovely, made me feel really comfortable and at ease and was very knowledgeable. Also slightly cheaper than the chain pharmacies!
Pharmacy is improving after new management. The previous management were so bad it may take some time to get better. Unfortunately my local GP surgery in Portchester is still managed badly so this doesn't help things at all! To all the people who I have seen being very rude to front end staff have a heart, they try their best and life is tough enough without putting up with mild abuse most days.
Long wait for prescriptions, not delivering when should. Sometimes it's been there all along but not sent or given when previously gone into there to collect. Highly probable my mother died because she was often waiting on very important medication and missed too many doses.
This pharmacy is a hazard to its patients - staff are extremely rude and disrespectful to customers. Don’t answer the phones, don’t deliver prescriptions on time leaving vulnerable patients without their medication. Should be closed down. Never had these issues when it was Tremletts!
Absolutely useless denied my medicine and said i ordered it to quick I didnt I order the same time every time and I ran out and got worse then went there and they tried telling new that I didn't order it then it was oh u did but u picked it up a week ago then finally they had it but didn't think to check did the same w family member
Extremely rude member of staff ignored me to start with them when I waited for 30 minutes with a young child got told to wait again for pharmacist. All the same women. Dark hair working this afternoon.
Half an hour I stood in a queue today for my prescription. (I did have delivery but I missed the man knocking on the door due to me not being able to get to the door quickly) There were 6 members of staff in there only 1 on the front desk. This is disgraceful (sign on chemist door saying they were short staffed) Their customer service is also zero. I absolutely hate having to go in there and wait and wait ......
I asked to see the pharmacist as I am home from uni for the holidays, she didn’t take me to the consultation room and spoke to me in front of a room full of customer, making me feel very uncomfortable. She dismissed my side of why I had this injury and gave me medication for something I did not have. If I had not gone to a different pharmacy I would not have found out that I had an infection, not a simple coldsore!!
