Loved my night until a worker called Ben started pushing me about for no reason getting physical and verbally assaulting me. Next thing I know is he's called the bouncers and removed me because I said stop touching me you weirdo. Disgusting behaviour from Ben. FIRE HIM
The number of people vary significantly and it can get to the point of being unable to move or you're the only one there the entire time. Service depends completely on the night as you can get missed easily in the crowd. Have seen a good couple of people at risk or that have described themselves being spiked. Need to stay aware.
Visited your bar last night with my friend and was extremely disappointed with the experience. We were kicked out without any valid reason after just 3 drinks. The bouncer behavior was unacceptable and rude. This kind of treatment is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable. I hope you take this feedback seriously and review your staff's behavior to ensure that no other customer has to go through this unpleasant experience.not recommended
A place where good nights go to die, went there after getting some food with a mate as I went to the toilet he leaned up against what he thought was a wall but was actually a door fell through it and then proceeded to get pinned to the ground by 4 egotistical bouncers one with a knee on his head leaning into a puddle as I’ve come out for no reason but to feel there need to bully they have then pinned me to the floor my mate was down for at least 15 minutes and was given no reason for there actions. They treat people as if they are livestock.
Really good atmosphere but the but the bouncers are really selective on who they kick out, I was sat next to 2 people who had thrown up on the floor and yet me and my mate who were both driving and had 1 double vodka and red bull 3 hours ago and still got kicked out for being “to drunk” I had tried to ask the bouncers to elaborate and explain there reasoning for kicking us out as I have worked behind the bar for 3 years plus but was met with no conversation nor explanation. Instead I was left stranded waiting for my mates who I did not know the state of to leave and meet me in a pretty dangerous place for 3 in the morning to get picked up
I went clubbing here for the first time for my friend’s 18th birthday and it was amazing. The owner and all of the staff there were super nice and made us feel safe. The music was great and the fire dancers only added to the fun atmosphere. We had a blast and would definitely come back in the future :)
I have had lots of great nights out in Astoria with my mates. We always end up going back. Definitely a great nightclub to go to in Portsmouth. It’s a big club with different rooms, the basement, main floor in Astoria, lots of bars, garden bit and connected with Tokyo Joes on a Friday and Saturday. Gives you a choice of what music you want to listen too and where you want to go.
Worst night ever. When we arrived all the cloakroom was full and even people taken out coat we will be refused with no logical explanation. We were there one hour and was on the way to one room when one of the bouncer grabbed us and push us out with no explanation. The bouncer don't even approach us nicely and not even said a word, just pushed us out. Very disappointed. Wish I can give a minus. And after this bad experience I can't even report the bouncer as no name badge. People go out to party to enjoy themselves not to meet frustrated and controlmaniac bouncers whom use their power just they can.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to the female member of the door staff working on NYE. My daughter had been separated from her friends and a bit tipsy, I had to drive 30mins to collect her and the door staff looked after her and kept her safe until I came to the door for her. It’s a really comfort to know that there are some caring people out there still. Thanks again.
