What a disgusting hotel. I should have taken more photos. Location is down a back alley that attracts lots of very very loud early morning attention. Tiny beds, stained sheets, leaking roofs. Our room had 2 hot taps meaning there was no drinking water. Let yourself in policy and make shift club downstairs allows none staying guest to roam the hotel. Staff clocked of early to drink, not bothering to sort the place.

Adam and his team do a great job and ensured we had all we need, from car parking to menu tips and everything in between. Our room on the top floor met our needs and we could always ask Adam or a team member for help, such as the anti slip mat for the bath. Great way to celebrate our Anniversary. Thank you to all the staff like Ellis for being so kind and patient. He was a total star but I should add , they all were.

We enjoyed our stay here recently. Conveniently central. Dog friendly. Reasonably priced wine. Room was okay but a bit noisy as it overlooked the main street. Lovely friendly staff! Excellent breakfast. Would happily return.

My room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities I could possibly want. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby every night. The bathroom was equally impressive, with a powerful shower and plenty of fluffy towels. The hotel's restaurant was a particular highlight of my stay, with a menu full of delicious dishes that were expertly prepared and presented. The breakfast buffet was a real treat, with a wide range of options to suit all tastes. If you're looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and convenient place to stay in the city, this is the perfect choice.

Popped in for a meal with my son as an impromptu treat. The restaurant has been redecorated since I last visited and looks really good. We were seated quickly and our orders were taken promptly. My sons steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, and I had the delicious Chicken and Ham hock pie. Also brilliantly cooked. The service was great, the ambiance was perfect and we had a lovely meal. Will definitely be back again soon. It has very much improved

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the amazing beach hotel and I was impressed with the high level of service and professionalism displayed by the staff. The hotel boasts a prime location and has direct access to a nice beach. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

Nice staff , but very tired. The bar area has old nail holes and missing paint galore. Looking a other reviews for the rooms it looks like it needs a vast injection of cash. Would love to return once this has been done as it holds a prime position in the wonderful Hitchin

Upon arrival staff were great but the hotel itself its outdated, not clean and very cold and they don't have the heating turned on, if you work nights you won't get any sleep being an old house you can hear everything with room service chatting and making a noise, regardless if you do work nights you won't have a pleasant stay I wouldn't recommend. I have attached a couple of pictures with the weather changing it was about 5° outside so you can have a guess on how cold the room was, and yes the radiator was on max and those were open when I got into the room.
