Came upon this shop by accident, whilst I was in the city centre, but what a find it turned out to be! I went in for a quick perusal of the running shoes - and to get out of the rain. I found a friendly and knowledgeable guide in Kevin the store-owner of nearly 20 years. I came in shortly before closing but he stayed open for me for another 30 minutes - I'll try not to make a habit of it! I tried on several trainers he recommended. I mentioned my flat feet, so I was advised to go for the stability range. Went bigger on sizing after initially intending to go for a half size, but 10 worked out better for me. Narrowed down to two pairs, but all were pretty good. He gave me an on the spot gait analysis and pulled out the treadmill for me to do some running practice, to help me decide. Good little setup. I was torn between the Saucony Guide ISO 2 and the Mizuno Wave Equate 3, even after the test. Specialist shoes are rather pricy but on the day he kindly offered to knock a bit off the top for me, so I took him up on the Japanse brand. I got some UYN socks too as I have had trouble with blisters. I found a Zoot waterproof windbreaker too with reflective detailing on the clearance rack, so I had it! Almost had a Garmin watch too, as my host was so informative, but such a purchase warranted further private research. The shop had an inhouse lovely little dog too who was friendly but extremely well behaved. Would definitely use again. 5 stars. Trustworthy. Gear will be used to help me train to join Army reserves. I visited today, the gent and his dog are both very friendly. He advised of the type of footwear i required and he brought many pairs until the best fit was gained. He has a lot of knowledge. I felt relaxed unlike the major retailers in which they always try to rush you.
Excellent customer service. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about running. The gait analysis has helped me to decide which shoe to go for. Will not be so tempted to buy buy barefoot anymore due to overpronation. Thank you
Superb shop, the man was very friendly and professional. He went out of his way to explain questions presented to him, I tried various trainers on and found the ones which suited my needs best.
