We wouldn't trust anyone else with our Feline Family. Carol and Emily are extremely professional and we are so lucky to have them so close. The grooming side of the business is a Godsend, particularly as we have semi longhaired cats.
Simply the best! Once you find a good cattery like here it makes life so much easier. Our two were well looked after and came back looking fantastic! Thank you again to the brilliant team and ownership!
I brought my 23 year old cat in for grooming last week. She is arthritic and struggles to groom herself properly and is not big on me brushing her! She was very matted and it could not have been comfortable for her physically and emotionally considering how cats love to be clean. I was worried she would not get on with it but the staff were very understanding and put my mind at ease. An hour later she was transformed. Her coat is beautiful again and she is so much happier in herself. She even had a nice smell! I am so impressed with the care she received and would fully recommend Portway for grooming. I plan to bring her in every few months to help her stay comfortable, happy and beautiful.
This was our cat's first time in a cattery and he couldn't have been in better hands. The communication from start to finish was excellent, and the team was super friendly and helpful and gave us updates whilst we were away. We'd definitely recommend them and will be using them again!
I had a great experience with Portway Cattery when I took my long haired girl in for a de-mat this week. My partner and I tried everything at home to remove her mats with grooming tools, but with no success. I have no idea how she managed it, but Carol managed to get all the trickiest mats off and for a very reasonable price. I’ve already noticed a difference in my cat. She seems happier being petted now, and I am sure this is thanks to her being far more comfortable without those horrible mats. Highly recommend.
BEWARE - SPREADS PARASITES THEN BLAMES YOUR PETS! Boarded my two cats with this cattery for five days. During that time, they contracted intestinal parasites. Lovely. My cats are entirely indoor only on the second floor and on a hypoallergenic dry food diet. There is no other place this parasite could have come from. Thanks Portway. Will not use this place again, please clean properly in the future so that you don't get more kitties sick. Thought I was leaving my kitties in safe hands, and now they're more sick than they've ever been in their lives. - Cattery is now trying to blame MY cats! The AUDACITY! My pets had checkups and were perfectly fit and healthy prior to the boarding. I have never had any of these issues with my cats for their entire six years of life. I board them with this place and they magically now have intestinal parasites. My vet even said that this parasite is common in catteries around this area. There is no other place my cats could have gotten this, and the fact that these employees wont take responsibility and instead want to blame my poor babies for their lack of cleanliness is appalling. If you're looking for a place that cares for animals, look elsewhere. Disgusting behavior.
Our cat has just had a 5 star stay in this hotel. First time we could book this hotel as they were always fully booked when we tried before. From this hotel the cat was taken home without any issue/illness. Before he was always sick when we took him home from different hotels Very friendly ladies were welcoming us and they really took care about our cat. Highly recommended and next time I will definately book them again!!!!
