Had an issue with a game (not. The shops fault) they checked it iver and determind it was faulty, however i was on my lunch break, so had to run, was going to pop back after, ex0laimed i worked at the shop opposite, anyway one of the staff came over for some lunch and brought the game and reciept over for me. All of the Game staff are always so helpful.
Hilariously poor hiring practices. I was called for an interview and told if I was successful I'd get a call. During that interview I was asked if I was able to work at other stores and I said I was not. Days later I received a call asking if I could come in for another interview and I did so yet when I got there I was told they couldn't honour the original interview time because they needed to take a call and I'd have to come back in an hour. Begrudgingly I did so. I finally sat down for the interview and was asked one question, can I work in other stores. I said like before I could not and they mentioned they were aware I had already said no but needed to try and find cover. They then said because I couldn't work in other stores they couldn't offer me a role and said they were worried they'd wasted my time. They have. This could have very easily been a phone call and it was completely unnecessary and disrespectful to call me in and waste hours of my time to answer one question that I had already been asked. And if the original appointment time can't be honoured, it's general courtesy to call and let the person know instead of just saying when they arrive that they have to leave again. I hope they value their employees time more than their prospective ones because I would never work for a company that so blatantly disregards and disrespects my time.
The guys in Portsmouth GAME are always so helpful! I rather come over to this than go to Fareham which would be my local- as they are awful there!
have been shopping at game forever, glad they kept the staff on when they moved over, always so helpful, Rich (I believe his name is) in particular, is always so helpful and friendly, him and my husband are always chatting about what's out and what they are playing when we go in, can tell he's a proper gamer, which is great.
Amazing service. Visited the store on Wednesday 15th May. Firstly, it’s so refreshing when a retail store still has colleagues who greet and approach. Richard done both, he asked what it was I was shopping for today, I was looking for a gift for my partner who was also with me. Richard was so knowledgable on such a wide selection of games, he was so attentive around what games we liked, what we didn’t like, story plots, building games. He really went above and beyond. He also knew when it was time to say ‘I’ll just let you both have a think’ as we were holding around 8 games. The most amazing thing is when he mentioned games which he had second hand which meant we didn’t put any back and could purchase all, and even mentioned a special edition of a game for a small extra price. Details like this didn’t go missed and the transaction at the end was so friendly and in all of this he was even training a colleague on how to process a transaction/approach etc. He is a credit to the company.
Went into this shop yesterday to buy some PS4 games to play with my other half! The staff here couldn’t do enough for us! Even with everything that’s going on, everyone was so helpful and gave great advice. Also shout out to Duane for all the help!
Definitely cannot complain about this GAME store. The staff are attentive without being overly so, and they're so friendly and helpful. That, and they KNOW what they're talking about! I have had some very interesting conversations with staff in this store. It's also very well stocked, and the Belong space looks amazing. Must give it a go one day! Also, a big A+ because they sell American sweets.
