I’m genuinely shocked to see any reviews other than 5*- as we would feel is deserved. We have used this company for all 3 properties that we have owned. Each time they have been approachable, attentive, prompt and efficient. Often being ahead of the game, with everyone else catching up with them! We genuinely could not fault this solicitors and would never use an alternative firm. They have always made what is typically a stressful situation, that little bit easier to manage and we as a family are very grateful. Thank you Paul, Chris and the team!! 5 ⭐️ from us!!

Can't stress enough how much to avoid the conveyancing team. We've had the unfortunate bad luck of having to deal with these both times we've purchased a property and they're slow, uninterested in getting things done swiftly and have both times missed plenty of opportunities to get ahead of the situation and make a house purchase easy. Both times in our purchases where our sellers used this firm, we and everyone else in the chain has been ready and waiting for weeks, only for the team here to be dragging their heels. I understand fully that the process is long-winded and needlessly messy, but the team here make an already difficult time even worse. If you don't care about a smooth sale, are willing to take the risk of your chain collapsing, and love slow responses, a lack of initiative and energy then this is the team for you! Update: Given the response from the business below, and their inability to read the comment I posted I just wanted to emphasis for anyone, my solicitor and the solicitor of our buyer were perfect. Communicative and supporting of our move, it was you at Warner Goodman who failed to inform your client - the seller - of information and details they needed leading to long delays. It's a shocking service when buyers in the chain have to call YOU asking to get a move on as you're ignoring calls and emails from the chain, agents and solicitors. This is twice this has happened where sellers of properties we're buying have used you, and twice now you've provided terrible service, to us and your clients. Just do better next time for your clients sake.

Very Expensive. Not recommended. Never had a face to face appointment - by email only, Nevertheless expensive. I felt some of their emails were unnecessary long & repetitive to justify the extra charges. I was charged few times more than the original estimate at the time of instruction. Some of the delays caused by the firm itself but they still charged me several hundred pounds for asking for the same extension.

I found this firm of solicitors very disappointing. I was buying my first house, I did not have a clue what was going on. I was never kept up to date. I had to remind John Blake to update me once a week.. and this never happened. Towards the end of the 6 months I was waiting for the purchase to go through, John started to get better.. but I still wouldn't say it was a good service. A number of times I would ask for a call back as I was given excuses 'hes not in the office' and everyone seems so moody when answering the phone! Cheer up! When I rang once, I asked to make a complaint and a lady I spoke to just argued back basically telling me that I will get a call when there is an update etc and she was saying 'Oh John wouldn't do that' ... what when 2 weeks pass by with no call, should I still be waiting? No... I paid an extortionate amount for a service that I would not recommend to anyone.. Luckily the estate agent was more helpful and kept me updated at least once a week, if not more and I wasn't even paying for their service. Very disappointing. *** Thanks for your reply but why was not I reassured this when I was going through the sale? I was not once reassured about anything or told what was going on. If I asked, I was just forwarded a massive chain of emails to and from the solicitors ... It was not explained to me. Still, I don't think the customer service is great and never was throughout the 6 months... as a first time buyer, you did not make it an easy process for me. I know it took 6 months and as I said, I am not complaining about the length of time it took or why, that's not the issue here. So its nice for you to respond with the reasons why in your eyes but still don't think you understand the issues here or why I am actually not happy with your service. My partner spoke to John after the sale and told him that he would have made it an easier process if he just picked up the phone to explain the points every tim ... so I think your firm need to take this on board for everyone else going through the process **

Warner Goodman handled the conveyancing for the sale of our rental property. After previous experiences of always having to chase solicitors it was refreshing to be constantly kept updated with the progress of the sale. Some minor issues with the sale were dealt with promptly and Warner Goodman ensured the sale progressed swiftly and completed by the target date we aimed for. We will definitely used Warner Goodman again and would recommend them to anyone.
