No price given when but £3.60 per mile with £5 min start. Driver said meter doesn’t work for him and it’s always set fee. Few pennies short of £40 from Ryde to Shanklin pre-12am. Rarely leave reviews but felt needed here. Rip off! :)
Amazing service when I needed for someone else to be picked up with very short notice. Able to pay using a link so the person being driven didn't have to pay (I asked other companies and this wasn't possible). When collecting the vulnerable driver, they were professional and caring. Will definitely be using again.
Taxis? what taxis. no matter what time is day, day off the week. no taxis were ever available. recommend phone a real person.
Over in the IOW for an operation for my daughter. Arranged pick up from the ferry terminal - arrived late evening and called taxi 2 hours in advance. They were 15 mins late. Excuse about puncture. I thought I would give them a second chance and booked from hospital to go back to boat, this time we had to make the boat. Phoned up 2 mins before arranged pick up time and driver hadn’t yet been allocated the job! Completely stuck as no other taxis - waited another 15 mins and missed boat. Had to wait another hour for the boat. If you book your taxi for 20 mins before you need it then this company would work for you.

Feel so fortunate to have found Leader cabs. Following an accident I was suddenly without a car, and the waiting time for a courtesy car was uncertain. I live in Brighstone and this seemed to be a no go area for the first X3 other taxi services who refused to entertain coming out to Brighstone, this left me in a real pickle as I work at the hospital and could not work from home. When I called leader cabs they were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble, when they picked me up from work to take me home we even did a quick stop so I could get some essentials from Sainsburys. On time, reliable and wonderful staff who absolutely saved me in my time of need. I now have a courtesy car but have saved Leader Cabs number and will definitely be using them again in the future. Very poor and rude telephone manner, when booking. I was asked for pre-payment, they said .. (“in case they come all the way from Newport to freshwater, and I don’t turn up!!” )I was going to St Mary’s hospital for an operation,? I could not believe this attitude, hasten to add I have gone elsewhere.
