When I went to pick up my new glasses, one of the staff members was serving someone else but she told me to take a seat and she’d be with me shortly. Another member of staff was on her laptop but I’m sure she saw me (relevant a little later on). I took a seat, the first lady finished with her customer and disappeared to the back of the store. A few minutes after me, two new customers came in and were waiting at the till. The staff member on her laptop then told them both to take a seat and she’d see them shortly (even though I was already sitting there waiting.) She finished what she was doing on her laptop and tended to one of the customers. She then went and told a different staff member who was already serving someone to see to the other customer who came in after me, completely ignoring the fact that I was sat there for about 10 minutes at this point with no one seeing to me. The first lady then came out and spent 5 minutes at the till before she finally came to me, no apologies offered for the wait. Really disappointed with the service this time round

I was really impressed with the treatment I got and the experience I had at my first ever visit eye test at Vision Express. The optician was fantastic and explained everything she was doing and what my results were and what she thought I needed. All the staff were friendly and spent time helping me decide on my new spectacles. An excellent job from all at Hull Vision Express in St Stephen’s Centre. Thank you.

If I could score negative I would!!! Terrible, terrible, terrible experience at Hull St Stephens Vision Express. I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment, but had to wait 10 minutes before anyone could be bothered to come to the reception desk, so I was already late for my appointment before it even started. Optician was very professional and the sight test was very well conducted - the only positive part of the experience. I came out requiring a new prescription, for which I was told to 'have a browse and a member of staff will come and help me in a couple of minutes'..... I took 20 minutes browsing, selecting some glasses without any member of staff coming to help me. Sat at one of the consulting tables (there were several free as the staff weren't that busy)..... after a further 40 minutes, with still no staff member even acknowledging me, I left!! Pretty ironic that the company is called Vision Express, as there was nothing 'express' about the service you receive. I will be going somewhere else where customers are acknowledged and looked after!

Visited two weeks ago for an eye test but complained about the poor service. A lovely lady called Emily rang me and offered me another eye test and a refund. In the meantime I had ordered some prescription glasses online using the prescription that vision express had given me. Went back today for my eye test and the prescription given this time was different. I explained that I had ordered some prescription glasses using the prescription that they had given me two weeks ago which was now different but they were interested and unwilling to do anything about it. I complained to the manager who was on. This wasn't Emily but I didn't catch the manager's name as I was too wound up. Basically the manager was rude and wouldn't listen to my concern that I had paid for prescription glasses that now were no good because they had changed the prescription. I will never use vision express ever again.

Today was my first time at vision express, i was greeted by the staff as I walked in, and the optician guys where very friendly too, then I was assisted by a lovely lady named Heidi who was very patient with me choosing some glasses, she was very helpful and honest, really great customer service from Heidi and the other staff, I would highly recommend and I will definitely be returning for my next eye test when needed :)
