“trainee” left unattended to deal with real life issues, evidence documents photocopied wonky with half the words missing awful and delayed responses, avoid at all costs!!!! wouldn’t recommend to anybody disgusting
I engaged Lewis Rodgers Solicitors for a sensitive family court and non-molestation case under legal aid. For my hearing on 4th August 2025, I discovered I was represented by a trainee (Sam Derry) rather than a qualified solicitor, without clear prior notice or adequate supervision. Despite my having provided a detailed witness statement, evidence logs, and safeguarding documents, the representative appeared unprepared and unfamiliar with my case. Key safeguarding and safety points were not raised in court, and I was told the case “shouldn’t have come to court” despite its seriousness. Following the hearing, I sent urgent complaint emails on 4th and 7th August 2025, but received no acknowledgment. Telephone follow-ups also failed to result in any response. This has left me without interim protection for months and forced me to change solicitors in the middle of proceedings. I have also requested a refund of the £60 I paid toward my family court application due to the inadequate service. My experience raises serious concerns about communication, preparation, and proper supervision in complex family cases.
The worst company I have ever had to deal with, not only was I passed to these for help but they clearly didn’t take my case seriously.. I had to ring over 7 times just to get answers to my case, replies to my emails and even when I got a reply my statement for court was wrong and nothing what I said over the phone. Then got represented by a trainee, who had no support from the company, me and my partner wondered if she knew what she was doing.. she proved us wrong by winning my case (VERY HAPPY) But then 5 weeks later I find out she’s not even chased the court for my restraining order which states should be done in 24hours!!!! Which means this had NOT been served to the respondent!! So for 5 weeks I’ve had a restraining order which I thought was keeping me and my child safe - was actually not in place and if I didn’t ring the company for an update this would of NEVER been chased! How disgusting and shocking this is from a “professional company” - If you can call them that at this point. I lost out on this protection because of the trainee solicitor doesn’t know what she needs to chase in her own cases or clearly how to keep them in order and make sure her job is complete! Again I blame the company as a trainee should not be left alone to deal with a case so important of keeping a mother and daughter safe! I’m very lucky no danger come to me in this time. Again with support for another person in the company this would have been done, to leave a trainee to deal with big cases like this alone is shocking and proves the company could not be bothered with my case. Not only has she endangered me and my child, she’s shown absolutely no remorse or even an apology! Complaint sent 3 days ago and no reply.. dodge this company! They have had over 2.5k+ for absolutely terrible work! You and your company should be ashamed!!
