   Going on a cycle touring trip to Patagonia for a couple of months, I decided it was important to get decent insurance. Unfortunately I was right, as I managed to cut my arm coming off my bike and need stitches. The medical emergency team used by Adventures Insurance were excellent, as they should be, and paid expenses directly m. However, they told me I needed to make a claim for some expenses that they couldn't pay directly in time. Adventures Insurance uses different companies for different aspects of their insurance policy so this is really worth bearing in mind as you're in contact with about 3+ different companies. Adventures Insurance clearly decided to cut some corners and use Fogg Travel Insurance for its claims procedures... I stupidly didn't google them, if I had I would've been warned by the endless atrocious reviews. I won't go into details about how much of scam this company is (look at the reviews yourself) but the fact Adventures insurance uses them is enough to guarantee I will never take out my insurance with them again.
