The process was very easy and fast and so far everyone has been helpful, specially sasha and georgia. They attend all the queries and question we have starting from property viewing up to application. Also they granted some of the request we ask for the property.
I was going to let it go and move on, but they sent an untruth email to one of my tenants so I am going to give them a review laying out how bad an agent Higson is. I am an experienced landlord of over 30 years with a good size portfolio. I had two flat with Higson in a converted house and I was spending more money of these two flats than the rest of my portfolio. Eventually I commissioned my own condition report with a chartered surveyor. His report highlighted shoddy work or work not even undertake. It pointed out that the two areas of concern were not even being looked at and if I rectified these two areas 90% of the issues would be solved. Without my permission they authorised works, which I doubt was ever done. I once asked for a photo to show work had been done and they sent me a picture of a ladder resting against a house. I never really understood their accounts they sent me and it always seemed to have small jobs deducted that I had no idea of. The breached our contract by giving me 8 days notice of termibation on a 30 day contract. The notice was given on 23rd December after they had closed for the holiday. In fact whenever they sent me an email of works to be done it was always sent after they had closed for the day. Without asking me they approached my surveyor to get his report. I think that they gave notice once the knew the game was up. Both of my tenants a relived that Higson is now out of the picture. I would highly recommend that any landlord avoids this company. After termination they told one of my tenants that I was refusing to do necessary work, which was completely untrue as I had complied with every request. The problem was, according to my surveyor, they had no idea what they were doing.

I would never recommend this property to anyone. Poor communication no matter how many times o send emails, “They take forever to solve the issues.” I have had a bad experience with them, the treat black tenants different. Specifically, if u are international student.
I strongly discourage anyone to use this agency, they don't respect tenants and they are very happy to take your money . But you will get nothing back in return, Poor quality of service. At first all seemed good and a little different to other agents in the area. Once the deal had been done and some small minor problems arrived the communication stopped. The little problems got bigger and could of been solved easily in the first place but ignoring phone calls and emails doesn’t solve anything... useless agents.
Steer clear of one of the worst agencies out there for HMO's. Notorious for renting out shholes across Hull with mentally ill or unemployed tenants. They simply do not listen and look only after profit.
Unprofessional company with very rude and disrespectful employee. We finishes 2 years tenancy contract with no issues. Following that our lovely landlord contacted them twice and I personally contacted them on 3-4 separate occasions to make sure we get our post letters as we were awaiting crucial letters that have already been sent before we change the address. Today and for the 5th time I called to ask about the letters and the lady on the phone tells me we have returned them by mistake to the sender. And when I asked how could that happen with us contacting them multiple and multiple times to make sure we get them and she said i don't know. I was so frustrated as we have been waiting for those important letters for 40 days now and I asked about the person who sent the letters back and she refused to tell me and hang up the phone. I physically came to the office to speak in person to the manager and that same rude employee refused to let me in and said the manager is not in. I asked for the contact details of the manager so I can contact them either by phone or email and she refused to give the contact details to me. So Unprofessional and rude and irresponsible as well.
Myself and my partner have been dealing with a lovely lady Sasha, who has been absolutely ever so helpful during the entire application process. Great and smooth communication, she was always and still is available to help. All of our agreement has been dealt with online which we have found ever so convinient without the added travel time to the agency and having to take the time off work. We would recommend Higson Homes for any future applicants, especially Sasha. Thank you for your help! :)
