   Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages! Great atmosphere too, a little cramped if too many people come since it’s a little smaller than a normal club BUT still great! Toilets were clean even though doors didn’t have a lock (bring a friend). And great music selection for all ages and tastes!

   Honestly, I’m super disappointed with SURF in Hull after what happened to my friend. He was just chilling, casually resting his leg on a seat, when the DJ rudely demanded that he take it off. My friend, being polite, just asked if he could say “please” next time. For some reason, this really pissed the DJ off, and he actually rushed over and grabbed my friend by the neck! Keep in mind, my friend’s only a first-year uni student, and the DJ is a fully grown man. What’s worse is that the bouncer saw the whole thing and did absolutely nothing. It’s hard not to feel like this might’ve been a racial thing too since my friend is Chinese, and we’re aware minorities can get treated differently sometimes. This kind of behavior is totally out of line, and I’d seriously question going back to SURF if this is how they let their staff treat people.

   My son was physically assaulted by the DJ last night when he was at the venue with his university mates. His elbow was grazed. Definitely we are going to report to police.

   Surf is a bit different to the other bars and pubs in the area. This small bar is tucked out of the way on posterngate. It is one I hadn't been in before. I was just passing and called in as it was early and very quiet. The staff were very friendly. There was a good choice of drinks and the prices were quite a bit cheaper than some of the other trendy bars in the area. The inside is quite bare, and there is not much seating as It gets very busy later on. If you're in a group in a party mood, you'll really enjoy it.

   bouncers are not very nice, not letting people in and making comments. Bar staff rude and unfriendly. Toilets are falling apart

   I'm not being funny or owt, but our mate is dying of some unknown disease and the DJ told us he wouldn't play any Scooter to save our mate, like all we need is one Scooter song to save him and the DJ said no. So this bar gets the lowest rating coz it killed our mate. Also the toilet sucks and the drinks were too expensive.
