A really welcoming bar with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced with a great selection to choose from, and the staff make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. A lovely place to enjoy a drink and spend time with friends — we’ll definitely be back.

Came in yesterday with my husband, daughter and grandkids. Not happy at all. Thre barmaid (blonde) was very rude. Would of been nice to of been greeted with a smile. Not even a please or thank you. Then to be sat there to hear them talking about us " They haven't gone yet there still sat there" Disgusting. We have ears. So rude. If your not happy with kids being in the pub then make that clear when we entering the pub. Won't be going in again. So went to Smugglers and was made very welcome and they even had sweets for the kids.

Always nice to visit my brothers ex haunt, when I visit UK, from NZ. Very welcoming staff despite football team differences. Up the Tigers!
The real ale (black sheep) was absolutely undrinkable and whe returned to the bar the server was rather unpleasant to say the least. After a wait whilst she consulted a manager as to whether it was ok she agreed to pour another. This was equally as bad. She eventually after quite a wait poured a different one.( tetley) which having been told by a local was spot on and that someone else had already complained about the other beer. No apology and as a CAMRA member I was not impressed to say the least. Footnote it’s is also the dearest priced pub. This however bbore no reflection on my review as I enjoy a good pint at any or almost any price. Won’t be back
Well I had never actually been in this place before in my intire life I thought It looked nice so me and my fella went in looking to be served with a beverage we knew it was a little busy at the bar granted it was scooter rally Saturday. We stood awaiting direction where to wait for the bar but instead bar staff just said 'go outside there was no outdoor bar so I thought they must not like us for some reason. I wont be coming in again.
