Myself and my sister went into the to shop enquired if they could engrave an item(axe).We were also going to purchase some items in the shop.We were told as axe had not been bought in the shop they refused to engrave the item.Women in shop says they were much to busy,three people behind counter,we were the only customers. Needless to say we didn't purchases the items we had wanted
Colman was very helpful when we were choosing our wedding bands. We conversed initially through Facebook messenger where Colman got a feel for what we were looking for before we visited him in store. He had bands out for our arrival, organised by our price and preferences. We had previously visited a few larger stores in Belfast but in visiting Down Jewellers we got the personal touch we were looking for. Down Jewellers offered a great selection of rings to choose from. Colman took time to ensure my wedding band complimented my engagement ring and vice versa. Great value for money and fantastic quality wedding bands - I highly recommend Down Jewellers.

If you are looking for top class service combined with competitive pricing in the locale then look no further than Down Jewellers. As my Golden Wedding anniversary approached I found exactly what I needed there. Having searched the web I could not see anything that came close to what I wanted. The choice was further complicated as the obscure and often conflicting 'feedback' reports only served to confuse my decision making. Furthermore, it is invariably difficult to judge the actual quality of an item despite the glowing description by the seller. On visiting DJ I could see and examine a range of items, this was enhanced by knowledgeable advice provided by the owner 'Colman'. Eventually, I made a purchase and there was a short delivery time for the items selected. However, Covid-19 intervened and we entered a period of lockdown as we were considered 'vulnerable' due to our advanced age. Panic ensued as it seemed my chance of getting the items were zero as the shop was closed and I was confined to barracks. NOT SO! Colman agreed to retrieve the items from his shop and arranged for my son to collect from his home using 'social distancing' . He certainly went the extra mile for us and we went on to enjoy a memorable Golden Wedding celebration. I have nothing but praise for his help and kindness.
This is an excellent jewellers that really helped me out of a problem yesterday after Amazon had delivered totally the wrong item. A quick call (from out of the country) and the lady I spoke to sorted everything out with a minimum of fuss...even arranging for the gift I purchased to be hand delivered that afternoon (on what was probably a very busy day). This is what customer service should be like!
