The Countryside Centre was closed when we visited in February 2025 and there was no information that we could see about when it is open. However, this is a nice location to park for free and to enjoy the garden, the ruins of Quoile Castle and also to make use of the picnic benches. There are a few interesting information boards in the grounds. It is also a good location to park and to then gain access to the Quoile Pondage Nature Reserve. The nature reserve is worthwhile visiting if you enjoy seeing birds. The path is also accessible to all mobility levels. I wouldn't recommend travelling a great distance to visit here but it is worth stopping-by if you are in the area. NB - It is good to know that there is a defibrillator attached to the building here.

Great place for a walk and to see different plants, herbs, fruit growing. Can have a picnic or BBQ, please be careful if BBQ, make sure they are out before leaving. Nice walk along the Quoile also.

Spent a few hours around here yesterday. Loads of butterflies in the garden. Beautiful flowers. Very calming and relaxing place to visit. One of our favourites when we are in the area. Toilets very clean. Just a pity the centre isn't open again. Had a lovely walk along the river.
