Whilst on holiday, my cockapoo Daisy injured her leg, but a thorough examination by vet Eleonora led to the need for a blood test, which in turn raised an unrelated issue to her leg. Daisy is 7 years old and this is the most extensive vet examination she has ever had. This vet practice is open 24/7 and is very professional and sophisticated. Thoroughly recommended

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Extremely disappointing experience with this practice, where the vets poor decisions meant my darling Jangles died in my arms within 30 minutes of me collecting him to take him home. He was home for 15 minutes before we were driving back and he died in an incredibly traumatic way on the way back to the vets. Every decision this vet made and informed us of the entire way has been since lied about, protecting themselves. A £4,800 bill for a now dead cat. No aftercare (which we were told was included in that bill) was removed, despite the fact he did not receive after care. Absolutely disgusting practice, all they care about is money and do not care for your animals. Move to one of the other practices on the island that actually care. My heart is in pieces from the loss of my boy, and I will never emotionally recover from this. Save yourself and your pets and boycott this place. Some pictures of my beautiful boy for attention, and he deserved better than the horrendous treatment he received here.

⭐ 0 Stars I had a deeply disappointing experience with Newport Pet Doctors. I took in an injured baby pigeon and was initially told the injury wasn’t serious and that he just needed antibiotics. The next day, I was told he had survived and gone to a sanctuary, but no one could tell me which one. Despite phoning multiple times over several weeks and being promised updates, I was repeatedly fobbed off, given inconsistent information, and never received the promised call-backs. Eventually, I was told that because he was “not my pet,” they didn’t have to update me. Yet I had offered to pay for his care, which was declined. At one point I was told he had gone to Skippers, only for that to be changed again to say he had passed away. The lack of transparency, accountability, and honesty has left me with no confidence in their handling of this case. The receptionist was also dismissive and rude, which only added to the stress of the situation. After sharing my experience, I discovered that many others have had similar issues here. All animals — whether pets or wildlife — deserve care, respect, and honest communication. Sadly, that was not my experience at this practice. I shall be avoiding this practice at all costs.

Staff are absolutely amazing! Unfortunately I had to have my guinea pig put to sleep and the staff gave me time with my boy whilst I grieved his loss and went through the whole process thoroughly. It all happened so fast but everyone from the receptionist to the two vets that cared for my boy were brilliant and went above and beyond to make sure he and I were happy in such a horrible situation. I’m so glad my boys final moments were within the care of such a great team. Thank you pet doctors! X

Amazing service, clear sensible advice and appropriate treatment. Ivy remains unimpressed, but give her time.. Thanks everyone!

The vets and the whole team were very caring especially when I had to put Jasper to sleep. I would highly recommend them. Kind, friendly, helpful and highly professional. Andy x

We feel we were led down a costly rabbit hole, when the actual treatment needed was simple, effective, and would have saved us money. The pain and suffering wrought upon our pet, as a result, was truly horrific. We would advise you to compare their very high charges for medication versus the cost of you purchasing them directly online. In some cases, costs of medication purchased from the vet's seemed doubled or even close to tripled. We would never recommend this practice to anyone.

I am so pleased with all the attention and care for my dog Roly. Sarah is a great Vet and his operation was so good he bounced back straight away it was amazing. The nurses who have cared for him also are first class. The after care was also very good and I feel so happy now. I would have no hesitation in recommending this team. Many many thanks!

The team that work here and at their other branches are just amazing. The last two weeks have been awful for me, but they have been there at all times of the day and night caring for two of my cats. Sadly, we had to have one PTS as he was just too poorly. The overnight team allowed me to be there to say goodbye ;(. My second cat who has been in their care twice recently for pancreatitis is now coming home. The care they have given her is as if she were their own. Her most recent stay was an admission on Sunday evening and I am sure they will be sad to see her leave but know ultimately home is the right place for her. We are all living in different, challenging times at the moment, but the staff employed are in my opinion second to none and deserve to be treated with kindness and respect.
