We booked a large party in for my wifes birthday just before Xmas. The service and help before the event was excellent and on the night they excelled themselves - great service, great atmosphere and even better food and drink. We have been several times before and each visit was superb but this one peaked - highly recommended!

This is an Indian gastro pub, and a very good one. It is still a pub and you can visit for just a drink if you wish but suggest you make the time for a meal too. Decided to call in on way home with mum for Sunday dinner instead of cooking when we got home. We didn't book a table, but I would recommend that you do call in advance just to make sure. Had the Lasooni chicken Tikka to start with, which was big enough for the two of us to share. Moist, succulent chicken with subtle Tikka spices. Mum is a big biryani fan so had the Krishna Special Dum Trio; large portion of flavorsome rice with pieces of chicken, lamb and prawns, went with the jalfrezi sauce to go with it which was mild and a perfect accompaniment to the rice. I had lamb butter masala with rice. The lamb was beautifully tender, melted in the mouth, and was complimented with the buttery masala sauce. A peshwari naan and sag paneer filled up the table, except for the pint of Kingfisher (on draught) to help wash it down. I have had many curries in my life and travel to India a lot and Krishna is one of the best I have ever been to. It isn't cheap, but then where is these days, but it felt like value for money. We will be visiting again very soon.

Popped in for an early dinner recently and had a really warm greeting. We didn’t have a booking but they managed to accommodate us and our 10 month old (high chair was available). Good menu selection and food was fresh and of great quality. Staff were very friendly and gave the right amount of attention. We’d definitely come back soon.

The make over the new owners have done is excellent. It’s smart and comfortable. We got a warm welcome and the service was just right, not intrusive but there whenever you need them. I cannot commend the quality of the food enough. The portion sizes were just right, we were full but not stuffed. We had 2 courses, chicken biryani’s with poppadoms (The dips are so delicious) and nan bread sides. The bill was very reasonable for the quality of the experience. We’ve already booked to go again. Book early.

So my friend Richard, convinced me to have the Pie from the Specials menu... Best choice EVER!!! I do not say this lightly - probably the best pie I have ever eaten. Full of filling, perfectly flavoured, best quality and the service was amazing, friendly, welcoming and the place just looks stunning. Even if you live miles away, it's a bucket list moment. Totally fully and truly recommended without question

We popped in today for a traditional Sunday lunch and were certainly not disappointed. It was really lovely, hot and fresh. We both had roast lamb with all the trimmings followed by a delicious dessert. I had bread and butter pudding and my husband enjoyed sticky toffee pud. Great service, clean and easy to park. What's not to like ??? Definitely want to go there again .

We had a large family gathering for a birthday one Sunday. The team were amazing, in particular Connor. He made sure we had everything we needed. He was polite, attentive and all round amazing! He ensured we had the kids sorted, food and drinks were served without much delay. The food was delicious and was well presented. Good kids menu too, along with a little colouring pack for the younger ones. Some parking round the building. Set just off a main road. Due to location, I'm not sure about public transport. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We are also looking forward to coming back for a pre Christmas meal.

We were a party of 3. 2 had the steak pie and 1 had chicken and leek. It was delicious. Pub is dog friendly clean and welcoming and a decent pint and wine choice. We enjoyed our meal and the staff were very polite and efficient. Good car parking too
