called for a taxi, person who answered was very blunt and rude and hung up on me before i could finish speaking, avoid
In my experience, JUJ Taxis have always been on time when used. They were the first local firm to introduce the 'text when approaching' service. Well done JUJ.
Used these a few times now always on time and driver's are helpful
If I could give zero stars I would! Was left 50 minutes in -2 degree weather after being told by “Gina” it would be ten minutes. Phoned several times and was “swapped” to another taxi driver after waiting 45 minutes.. no taxi ever turned up and luckily a driver from ASH taxis was there and gave us a lift home! Asked to put in a complaint was was offered a “free taxi ride” like I’m ever going to use them again!
Rubbish I had managed to get an appointment with doctor which is hard to do at this moment. Ordered taxi to pick me up from work at 5.30 and phoned again just before 5 30 to ask why taxi was not on way as I was going to doctors. Result was I missed my appointment and has to cancel taxi. This is not the first time this has happened with this firm. I has to leave work early so I have lost money and didnt even get to see doctor. I'm disgusted that when they knew it was for a medical appointment they didnt care.
Booked a taxi from Scawby to the doctor's in Hibaldstow. 1.9 miles and a 4 minute drive. Usually I walk it but the road is narrow with blind corners and is really dangerous to be a pedestrian. Taxi came ten minutes late and it cost TWENTY POUNDS! Something could have been said when I booked it the day before instead of leaving it until the taxi turned up too late for me to walk it instead. Disgusting service. You should be ashamed to charge people that much.
We booked a taxi from the Black Beauty, the first drop off was Moorwell Road and despite me telling the driver the exact drop off he went back up to Messingham Road and down Moorwell Road. He then took us the longest way home, along Messingham Road and Ashby Road, onto Old Brumby Street, across the Queensway onto East Common Lane and then along Warley Road. I stopped the taxi before we reached our actual destination, the price was £16!! Stupidly I still gave him a tip!! The taxi and the driver both smelt of stale tobacco. Come on Juj sort your drivers out
I’ve now used JUJ about four of five times in as many days and would not use them again. Whilst initially reliable for my first couple of journeys they are expensive - charging between £20 and £25 for a 12 mile journey - and yesterday really let me down. I was initially told a taxi would collect me in 30 mins. After 30 mins had been and gone I got an automated text to say the taxi was on its way (as in had just left to come and get me!) This was followed by a phone call explaining there was a hold up and the driver would be 15 mins. No real apologies given. When 15 mins came and went I called again and was told there was no way of tracking the driver but he wouldn’t be long. Another 15 mins later and I called and asked that she call the driver, which she duly did, who said he was 3 miles away - showing that not only had the initial 30 mins been grossly underestimated but that she had also lied before when she rang and told me the driver would be 15 mins when he clearly had not even left. No apologies given again. A further ten mins came and went and so I called and asked for compensation as it had now been a full 70 mins since I originally requested my taxi. This time I was told the driver would be contacted who would, quote, “knock something off”. The driver turned up some two or three minutes later but when I got to my destination knew nothing about this and said anything knocked off would be out of his pocket so I reluctantly handed over my £20 because I’m not going to short change an employee because his employers are liars and cheats. This is a prime example of not only terrible customer service but also why Uber is wiping out these companies in cities. Dishonest, overpriced and unreliable. I’ve sent a text and an email now to give JUJ the chance to make amends and left it a full 12 hours before posting this, but since they’ve made no attempt to reach out to rectify this here we are. I won’t be using you again and would encourage others to look elsewhere, also.
