Asking a customer if they want to "round up" the amount they are paying to the extent that it would add 25% to the total purchase price, suggests that you are not grateful or satisfied to have even made the sale! Moreover it is awkward and embarrassing for both the customer and the member of staff when the "rounding up" is declined.

I recently visited this charity shop and was met with appalling customer service from a rude member of staff in his 60s with an emo hairstyle. His disrespectful and racist behaviour made me and my mum feel extremely uncomfortable. To top it off, when I went to pay, he changed the price of an item at the till, accusing me of putting another label on it from another product to make it cheaper. I’ve been going to this shop for years and I’ve never come across a staff member that has behaved so disgustingly. He kept telling me that the product is new and shouldn’t be priced at that price and he just gave me a price from the top of his head. I couldn’t care less if the price was wrong or how new or old it was. That’s not my problems whatsoever. You’re not making a loss either way as the product is given to them for free from residence. His new price was more than double what was on the label. He was just appalling. I won't be returning. Avoid this place if you value basic decency and respect.
This shop does not accept up to date pound coins. Went in there to buy a book but was told that my new (12 sided) pound coin was not legal tender. I then went to the bank to confirm and they said that it was a new pound coin and should have been accepted, in fact I had 5 and the bank staff said all were up to date. Still the charity shop lost a sale, and I won't be using that shop again nor donating there anymore.
I don’t usually come here but the layout is actually really simple, it’s a bit odd in its ways but it’s very easy to find what you are looking for
As charity shops go this is as good as it gets. I don't understand why people leave negative reviews as this establishments are not Harrods !!!!
The best charity shop in southsea
Worst charity shop in Portsmouth, the only charity shop I have never bought from.Badly layed out shop with higher prices then any other charity shop I've been in. Too top it off the staff just stare at you as if your going to steal something. Waste of space and poor compared to the other charity shops around them. Awful shop avoid.
