Took my dad's border collie today for her first groom with Wagtails. As a rescue dog, she was very nervous and anxious to have people touching her coat where she was badly matted. Speaking to Louisa and discussing everything, I felt I was well informed of what to expect going forward and although we had to wait a few weeks, we did it so Sal would be more comfortable and the salon being quieter for her. I didn't feel judged by the state she was in when we arrived with the heavy underarm matting and Louisa was great with the reassurance that they could go at Sal's pace. After going to numerous other groomers who have struggled with her, I was so impressed by the happy dog that awaited me. She looks and smells delicious - her coat is so shiny I thought for a moment they'd bought the wrong dog out for me. Although Sal had a few nervous moments, they managed to complete her groom and get ever matt removed, she must feel like a new dog. I think some people may gulp at the price, but honestly, it's been worth every penny. And hopefully with more regular grooming sessions she'll not worry too much going forward which is the plan. I can't thank Louisa and Hannah enough! Thank you so much for your time, can definitely tell you run a lovely clean place as Sal came out happy. I'd definitely recommend you to others and suggest people to get in touch for the grooming services they require.
Today was the first time of using wagtails, what a lovely experience it was for me & Barney knowing my pride and joy was in safe hands. Louisa was very professional. Barney has come home with a bounce in his step and smelling lovely. I highly recommend wagtails. Thanks again Louisa and team.
My Romeo came out looking so handsome that I could melt. He can be a temperamental little man but he was great here and well looked after. Louisa put my mind to rest and reassured me with all my worries and I thoroughly trusted her to look after my little boy. He also came out in a little dickie bow which I think is just an adorable detail that melted me. I have booked another appointment and will continue to do so. I don’t trust many with my Romeo bit I trust leaving him in their hands
Louisa has been clipping Nellies nails for a few month. Nellie has black nails and difficult clip, she also wriggles a lot! Louisa was warm and welcoming, and we were immediately at ease. Nellie loves coming to see Louisa. We are always happy, and would highly recommend WagTails to anyone looking for a reputable, quality groomer. The service is outstanding. My sprocker Luke was 1 year at the end if January. He had never been groomed. I did some research and the testimonials for Louisa (and Hannah), of Wagtails of the Wolds appeared to be out standing so I booked. I was not disappointed. Such friendly, kind and caring staff. Luke has had a bad time recently after having a front leg amputated most likely as the vet says, due to an adder bite. I was quite nervous, never mind Luke. Louisa was very professional and understanding of his differing needs, and catered for this with outstanding care. She and Hannah took care of Luke as though he was their own Definitely be using again. Go on give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
Could not recommend enough! Took my 10 month old cane corso, Cerberus for his first time proper groom. The staff were absolutely amazing, could not thank them enough, so patient and went by his according, when he was ready as he was very nervous been his first time. His coat has never been so soft and clean, He looks so fresh and smells amazing! I’m very happy with the outcome and will definitely be coming again!

If you are looking for an EXCELLENT dog groomer you need look no further. Louisa and her small team are wonderful. The grooming is first class and Louisa is so caring and thoughtful. Our Tibetan terrier always wags his tail when he sees Louisa and never resists going in for his grooming. I have no worries about leaving him for his grooming.
