   Really really thankful to this shop. Not only gave my dog an amazing groom after hours because he was severely matted from the previous owner, but was so kind to him and me. Also gave advice on what food to feed him. So beyond greatful for what you’ve done for my boy , will definitely be coming here again. Really reasonably priced too! As you can see my boys smiling now !

   I hardly ever leave reviews but felt I had to because of the excellent service I received. This is the first time I have taken my toy poodle Sid to The Barker shop. So impressed both with the way he was groomed, he looks fabulous and the staff there were so welcoming and lovely, they truly love the dogs they groom. I had no hesitation to book Sid in for his next groom. Thank you ladies

   Only giving 1 star otherwise it wouldn't let me write this review! I have been using the Barker shop for some time. I am always pleased with my dogs cut. However today, the customer service I received was appalling. I have dropped my dog off and had a delivery to make today. I was running late to collect my dog and i told them this, i was then told that i would be charged £5 for every 20 mins late i was,In the time that I have been using this groomer, I have never signed any contract to agree that I would ever pay £5 for every 20 minutes that I was late nor is this stated on the fb page. when i refused to pay the extra charge i was then told to go to pets at home and see what they charge, this is what you get when you try to support a local business. oh and by the way pets at home charge £5 every 30 mins... I pay less for my dog to stay in a kennel per day, than what I was expected to be charged today. The owner was extremely rude, which I find completely unacceptable when running a business. I paid for the cut, and an extra £5 out of goodwill for being late. But I will sadly never return!

   I take both my dogs to Liz every month and every month they come home perfectly groomed and bathed. They have been going there for over a year now. They are so cared for and Liz takes her time to really fuss them and ensure they are comfortable. She cuts them brilliantly. They are poodles, one laid back and one neurotic princess. I would not hesitate to recommend the Barker Shop.

   I never write reviews however it's always good to say nice things where credits due... I've a 5 year old schnoodle who has been very difficult to groom over the past 2 years since an operation. Due to this we have had several groomers refuse to work on him due to being aggressive, some groomers have attempted to make him look good and others have started to clip him and I've collected him partially finished with a refusal to work on him again. I took my boy to this groomers and explained the history. The lady who owns it (Liz) assured me that she would happily work with my dog and reinstate his trust in the groomer, "I will do my best, leave him with me," she said and true to her word several hours later, I picked up my happy dog looking wonderful to say the least. Liz had to work on and off Alfie to reduce his stress but she did it and for that I was very grateful. Alfie has returned since and his cut is perfect and he now knows to trust the groomer!! Everyone comments on how well my dog looks and for that I thank Liz. She is thorough, caring and determined to make these 4 legged friends happy and gorgeous!! Nothing bad to say about this place. Highly recommended. I'm very particular about everything I do and I can honestly say I'd confidently recommend this dog groomer to anyone. Keep up the great work! Thank you, from Kelly and Alfie!
