Booked and pre ordered meals for 14 people during the Christmas period. Food arrived within 25 mins of us sitting down and was hot and fresh. Water was already on the table and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The pies and gravy were amazing, the veg well cooked and everything hot and tasty. No incorrect orders and great communication. Leanne and her team were excellent, friendly and attentive. We didn’t have to wait for drinks or service, very happy customers (who aren't easily pleased). Will return! x

A proper little oasis. Making a tour on our motorcycles, we stumbled upon the Green Dragon. We needed safe parking for our bikes, good accommodation, decent beer and a hearty meal. The staff provided with all of the above, nothing was too much trouble for them. Thanks Folks. Timpo.

Had breakfast here after our going to Hey baby with our daughter. We came as a 6, got taken to our booked table. The server took our order for drinks 4x latte,1 coffee and 1 tea. All great I, my wife and our daughter ordered the full works breakfast at Β£9.15 each, my son in law a bacon and sausage sandwich with baked beans. My son in law mum had pancakes with berries and his Dad a plain bacon sandwich(his bacon was cold but edible) It had taken nearly 30-40 mins to receive our food. Unless you read the small print on the menu that continental is included in the price. Which to the side of the bar, includes out of date cereal, nice juice and croissants,Choc pastries, fruit So this was impressive, however the waitress never even told us about it The place was empty they were hardly run off there feet, it was only 930am on arrival When the full works breakfast came my sausages were felt like and tasted like crispy rock. The eggs hard not runny, black pudding crispy and hard, the bacon cold as well as the baked beans. This was right across the board for all 3 full breakfasts. I believe the pancakes were nice and bacon, sausage sandwich with beans was good. Also we got toast apparently it must of been toasted for 5 seconds plain white so sign of real toasting at all. The first picture looks quite appetising, trust me it's not. So nearly Β£53 for all 6 of us. The server asked if I enjoyed my food and service today. I said to be honest I've had much better. I'm assuming because it's Welton, and normally upper class clientel use this place. They think they can get away with poor service and food. Our daughter paid for all 6 of us But I would never return here even if it was free, absolutely awful and I do not recommend it. It's a real shame because inside itself, the decor etc it's quite cosy

Online booking for the evening was easy. We arrived a bit early but the pub was quiet so there were no problems being shown to our table. We had a very long wait to receive menus and another wait for our order for drinks to be taken. My husband asked for Angostura bitters in his soda - the waitress had no idea what that was, nor did the bar have any. The gluten free selection was OK but extremely limited. We had a VERY long wait for our food to arrive. People who had arrived after us were served well before us. My friend's medium rare steak was medium, my husband's 'rose' steak was not rose and was lukewarm, my pan fired sea bass was over fried and our other friend's fish and chips was missing the advertised tartar sauce. We decided not to have dessert and then waited for a long time for anyone to see if we wanted anything else. We gave up waiting and went to the bar to ask for the bill. While we had been approached towards the end of eating, it was too late to do anything so we did not report concerns at that stage. We did feed back as the table was being cleared. I had a discount voucher for the meal which was helpful otherwise I do not think the evening's experience would have been value for money.

We booked 2 nights accommodation with The Green Dragon and arrived early evening Saturday to a bustling bar of enjoyment. Staff very friendly even though they were so busy. Lovely sized room on ground floor as had requested due to mobility issue. We had our dinner in the pub both days and the food and service were excellent. Wonderful find in a beautiful setting, we are coming back.

Room was exemplary clean tidy all amenities, bed was comfortable. Staff helpful and welcoming....was a busy day with it being mothersday we ate later on food was well presented and tasted great..only thing I felt let down by was the selection of real ales thought there would be more than the 4 that was on offer but apart from that was a great overnight stay highly recommended if your looking for a place to stay, we would definitely recommend if your looking for somewhere to stay.....

Eaten at this pub a couple of times and really enjoyed the food, decided to go last night and treat ourselves to a steak. Cost of the surf and turf was Β£21 and it was unbelievably disappointing and I don’t think I will be returning not for the price of the food vs the quality you actually get. There was no sauce with the meal when there should have been, 1 tiny mushroom, the worst cut of steak and the prawns were luke warm. Such a shame when previous meals had been quite enjoyable.

Had a great meal here and will definitely look to stay here next time we are in the area. Do love it round Welton and this pub complements it brilliantly.

Such a lovely afternoon - waiting Staff great, lovely atmosphere, food was delicious. Husband was paying at the bar at the end of the meal and the manager (we think) came storming over shouting about a nappy my brother had left by accident (my baby niece was unsettled and ready to leave - food took longer than expected which was absolutely fine, it was a busy Sunday service so my brother had taken her out of the busy restaurant to not disturb other diners) saying it was disgusting that we had left it and that they shouldn't be expected to clean the nappy up. A real shame to end a lovely afternoon - we had spent the best part of Β£250 and it was a genuine mistake (anybody who had a toddler knows how quickly you need to leave a busy restaurant sometimes!).

Came in with family + dog, was welcomed warmly and spent a few hours there with the kids eating lunch and my wife and i enjoying a few drinks. Staff were polite and helpful and the atmosphere in the pub was relaxed and warm. We've just moved to the area so was a great way to spend a portion of the afternoon!
