   I called Chris about maintenance on my old sewing machine. He was most helpful but very, very busy, so there would be some considerable wait. Needing a machine more quickly I said I was considering buying a new one. Chris offered free advice and was most helpful. I was very impressed at his willingness to assist, even when there was nothing in it for him. I wouldn't hesitate to call Chris again, if and when needed!

   I rang Chris with a problem with my very old sewing machine as he had serviced it 20 years ago and I had been very pleased with it. It turned out it was my very old brain that was the problem and as I hadn't used it much ( the machine and my brain) I had forgotten how to thread it properly. He was so helpful and knowledgable about the machine and gave me lots of tips about using it and the needles etc, I would not hesitate to take my machine to him with any problem. Highly recommended.    I haven't had the time/spare cash/urgent need to get my machine fixed just yet, though I KNOW with absolute CERTAINTY after a call to this gent some time ago now (years unfortunately for him) that his memorable kindness, advice and sheer depth of knowledge made me trust him and him alone to be the one to take care of my vintage sewing machine...just saving some pennies now in anticipation of calling you to book in!
