   Called in today to buy a watch for my birthday. The staff greeted us in a very friendly way when we walked in. Julie was very helpful when we picked out a selection and encouraged me to try them on . She carefully explained insurance for any likely repairs to the watch we chose.    We visited H Samuel in Hull today to look for gifts for my daughter’s 21st birthday. Sue looked after us so well from the moment we walked through the door. She listened to what my daughter wanted and then came up with the goods. There was no pressure at all and she was so patient. In fact, we ended up buying more than what we originally anticipated. Sue talked us through the care of the items as we didn’t realise that white gold needs to be maintained. We came out of there very happy, especially as Sue provided my daughter with gaviscon too. Now that is customer service on another level. 10/10

   Very nice store in Hull's city centre/edge of the Old Town, Whitefriargate. Clean and welcoming. Always well staffed by polite women willing to help. Beautiful stock and so much of it. I had a late Christmas gift to purchase and the sale was amazing. Can't fault the service I received from Rebecca.

   So I had a ring that had snapped on the band, I took it into this store about 4 weeks ago and they said they could fix it no problem. I’ve just picked it up and it no longer fits me, the staff in store were so not helpful it was unreal, they tried to get me to pay again to send it away for resizing despite my ring fitting me when I took it in. I refused to pay again as it was their error that it doesn’t fit me anymore. Getting home upon closer inspection, the part of the ring that was “ repaired “ can be seen by looking at it so it hasn’t even been repaired properly. Avoid this place like the plague, useless staff, useless repairs they just want your money !!!
