   My local store was having difficulty getting a spare part for my janome machine. Peter had a spare in stock and I drove 50 miles to his shop. I was not disappointed, he fixed in 5 minutes and gave advice on tension and threading. Very reasonable charge, less than a quarter of the price I had been quoted locally. Peter has a wealth of knowledge and is happy to share information.

   I rang to see if our vintage machine was worth fixing. I was told that it was possibly a problem with the gears in which case it wouldn't be worth fixing but to bring it in to check. Met with a really pleasant gentleman who immediately carried out some adjustments and it was soon working perfectly. He said it had only taken a few minutes so he wasn't going to charge me. What a difference to the more usual approach. The machine has been working perfectly ever since. Thanks for restoring both the machine and my faith in mankind.

   Amazing business and honest and fair owner. I was so frustrated when my old machine stopped working but Peter knew straight away what was wrong and fixed my machine whilst I waited. He even let me have a go on the overlocker whilst I was waiting. Great to try before you buy if you’re looking for a new machine. Didn’t charge much for the repair either and stocks all the essentials - zips, thread, fabric etc. I’ll definitely be back now I know there’s someone reliable and trustworthy operating locally

   I thoroughly recommend Peter for sewing machine and overlocker repair. He sorted the tension on my overlocker and even gave me a lesson on how to do that for myself! My only regret is that I didn't stock up on haberdashery and consumables from his supplies while I was there. He's a thoroughly nice and helpful chap.
